Looking thru this thread I found it interesting to see that the majority of the players "hated" by us fans are very good players or even elite level talents. While I may not like a lot of the players listed most of them are welcome on my team any day.

It got me thinking, do the Flames have any players that opponents or opponents fans hate? Honestly at this point I don't think so but I truly hope this is something Burke addresses. I dislike the term truculence but feel that we are too "nice" of a team. That does not mean we need more goons (two is enough) but it does mean we need guys who hate to lose and will do everything they can to win, like most of the players on peoples list.

Maybe Fleury, but not for on-ice behavior. There are guys like Bertuzzi, but that stuff was behind him. I don't think any players were not well thought of while they played here. Chris Simon kind of became a dink after he left.
