They are bigger yeah, but they aren't saints, they are dirty as soon as there is a chance.

I don't think Canada plays particularly dirty (not so say they haven't done dumb things), they're just used to a much more physical game than the Europeans.
I can see Canada coming across as a little cocky/smug when it comes to the WJCs, but I don't think they ever directly taunt the opposition like the Russians.

Not taunting wise, thats Russias thing, bunch of rats. The second the game isn't going Canadas way they will be dirty as hell. (Also thats the case of Team USA). But I'm talking about the mens team more.

Of course we are.
Yes, we realize that you usually require favourable European officiating to stand against larger, more physical North American teams, but that doesn't make them dirty.

Sure they are. Why do you people take it so personally? Prove me wrong, yeah they are stronger and bigger, I'm not talking about that. Talking about the numerous cheap shots they take as soon as the refs aren't paying attention..

Which cheap shots have been thrown this tournament?
Not really sure how I prove that they don't other then saying they don't do it anymore or less than other teams. If they do it numerous times there should be plenty of examples you can use from this tournament alone.
This tournament the dirty plays that I have seen have been:
The Slovak hitting the linesmen
Dresitl's hit from behind
The antics by the US and Russia today.
Nothing from Canada at all. So no need to come in whining about Canada like you always do just because you are bitter that they always beat you.

Isn't that basically engrained in the psyche of any hockey player? Not cheap shots, but any slash, jab, elbow, etc you can get away with you do? That was certainly the case at this year's Mac's tournament.
As far as the game is concerned, Go Canada!

The moment you need to rely on an argumentative fallacy such as attempting to shift the burden of proof, you've lost. No, vilzeh. Your assertion, your burden of proof.
Also, don't be a hypocrite and pull the "homer" card when you are just as bad, if not worse.

As I mentioned that I'm talking more about the mens team. I'm not bitter and I sure as hell aren't defending Finnish players if they do something wrong. How about Canadas (according to you) clean knee hit?

You mean that knee that I said was a penalty from the start and then on the replay said it deserved the 5 min? That is the clean knee you are attributing to me?
That wasn't really dirty just a dumb play. He didn't intend to injure the guy, didn't go way out of his way to throw the knee out. It was a bad play by an 18 year old kid and it was also pre-tournament.
If we include that the charge that Anton karlsson had on Sam Reinhart without the puck was a "dirtier" play.

Sorry, not suspension worthy when it was a legit knee on knee hit, extended the leg and it wasn't dirty? Also it makes it even worse that its the pre tournament games.

It wasn't knee on knee he hit him higher up on the leg and yes you can have knee hits that aren't suspendable.
Doesn't make it worse or better that it happened in the pre-tournament game.
The IIHF which are usually much harsher on suspensions than in NA also determined it wasn't suspendable so not like it is some Canadian homer saying that.

IIHF is not usually harsher on suspensions. Where did you get that from?! Actually very few suspensions have been dealt over the years.
My opinion stays, guess we'll see in the Olympics when Getzlaf (Like last World Championships where Canada played dirty games against Finland and Slovakia and such) goes to his rat ways if it's not going well for him. Anyhow, Finland beat Czech 5-3 after trailing 1-3. Will meet Canada / Switzerland on the semis.

What's the deal with TSN not streaming these Canada games. The US was streaming all their games. Anyone know something I don't about where to watch this online?
Thanks

Having watched Canada at every World Juniors, World Championships, World Cup, and Olympics over several decades I have to agree with vilzeh, Canada is one of the dirtiest teams.
In fact out of the "top 8" hockey countries, I would put Canada in the top 8 for dirty play.

From the numerous garbage suspensions they have handed out over the years.
Griffin Reinhart being the most recent example. He should have got 0 games and instead was given 4.
