Rexall is so quiet you could hear a mouse p*ss on a Q-Tip

It looks like "dress as an empty seat" night at Rexall.

Jesus... that was the single most defeated sounding groan I've ever heard from an arena full of fans.

Only the Oilers could let Brendan Morrow look like Patrick Kane

Why do the Oilers even try. How is it that Buffalo is even worse, doesn't seem possible.

Which is exactly why I want them to go on a hot streak. As bad as that team is, we don't really need to give them another Top 2 pick. You can temp fate only so many times. Come on, 11th!

They are evening out now and it wouldn't surprise me if buffalo finished strong and ended up higher in the standings.

The Oilers will still win a bunch of games near the end of the season. We've seen it before......no chance in heck of making the playoffs, no pressure, they put up a few wins, media goes on to say how they look good and should really make some noise next season and push for a playoff spot. They can't be this horrible all season can they?

Not even close.

AO is scoring at a great pace but has a pathetic 11 assists and is still playing without a care in the world about his own zone or making the right plays to help his team win.

I would have him behind Kane and Getzlaf as well and likely Stamkos if he wasn't injured for Hart at this point in the season.

Scoring is nice but if that is all you have to offer you better be scoring a ton more points than the other guys and he isn't.

Yeah. From upthread (before Buffalo lost tonight)...

Truly incredible how bad the Oil are
The Oilers' lead on the Sabres is less than the Flames' lead on the Oilers.

The Oilers can't seriously think they have a chance at playoff hockey now. They will basically have to turn into the Penguins or Black Hawks for the rest of the season.

This is all-world suck we are seeing here this season from the oilers. In fact, I am surprised this isn't a bigger story in the hockey world. This oilers group is atrocious. Worst oilers team of all time in my opinion, as a cap team.

I have $50 bet with my cousin, told him I know the Flames will suck this year but that Special kind of Suck they have been building is more than priceless, Flames will be better, 1st over all draft pick is not a guarantee to be the next Chicago or Pittsburgh.

They will still suck no matter what, so I'd rather they suck in 11th place than last. You can only give these idiots so many shots at the 1st overall before they fall ass backwards onto some luck.

I don't know which is more embarrassing, oilers management or the endless hype canadian media give them at the start of each season...

I wonder if Jagr will get any Hart nominations at the grand old age of 42. He's been easily the best player on the Devils this season, and has put up 30 points in 36 games. He's probably been the best player in the league in December, and the Devils are back in contention in large part because of him. This is a team that was going nowhere when Kovalchuk left in the off-season, and many predicted them to finish last. Now they are third in their division. He's also a +12, and has 11 more points than the next guy on the team.

I think he should easily get some consideration at least. Just such a stellar player.
