You are. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine - he was turning right and a car was coming toward him in the right hand lane of the road he was entering, with its right turn signal on, to indicate it was going to turn onto the road he was coming off of. The other car slows down as if to turn, changes its mind (I guess got the wrong road), and as buddy's turning out, it carries through and slams into the rear end on his driver's side, blinker still flashing away. He was at fault nonetheless.

ok, here's mine.
people that cut corners and give you the dirty look because you are waiting at the intersection.

we have highway 16 that runs through our town. the highway is split though, so we basically have a one way east and a one way west.
there are many connecting roads between the two one ways. We have to wait to turn onto the highway at the intersection. you have to pull up to the intersection to see if anyone is coming before you can pull out onto the highway. People that are turning off the highway onto the connecting road ALWAYS cut the corner instead of driving 5 feet further and then making a 90 degree turn. Yet each time they give you the dirty look for being pulled up to the intersection.

I know, I know, its a small town thing but it drive me nuts! DONT CUT THE CORNER!!

DASH CAM

Staples sells them now and they are fairly cheap. Just present the video to your Insurance Adjuster and when you file your police report. After the accident don't even mention you have it and just get the final satifaction if they lie.

Without fail, every single time I exit off of westbound Glenmore onto northbound Macleod some struggler is stopped at that sign as though it's a yield. I honk until they move.

I don't even know if it matters if you had the dash cam? Signal or not, they do have right of way?

Its definitely an interesting situation, I would like to see an outcome of this with video evidence.

The people who park their trucks or vans RIGHT at the corner of an intersection, so you can't see anything without pulling almost into traffic really annoy me.

If you flip it upside-down, it's pretty alluring.

It is undoubtedly some struggler trying to cut across three lanes so they can line up to turn left into Chinook. Why do so many people use that turn lane, it has to be the WORST way to get into Chinook.

A dash cam would have worked in the situation I mentioned. Both vehicles have left hand indicators flashing and one broad sides the other instead of turning left.

Agreed! Another pet peeve of mine is all those D Bags who buy the biggest trucks out there who don't even need to own a truck.

Theoretically the dash cam would only pick up what the guy across from you did (i.e. was signalling, cancelled it, and went straight). It doesn't indicate what the guy recording the video was doing. He could have not had his signals on at all and then decided to turn left in front of the guy.

I agree 100%. Just last weekend I was following a car in the far right lane as I needed to pull into the upcoming parkade on the right hand side. Street parking was full, so buddy decides to stop, right in front of the parked door. I wait kindly for 15 seconds with my signal on, then I flash my high beams. Nothing.

I lay on my horn for a good 5 seconds and he (she?) finally gets the point and moves. Some people. If you need to stop and there is no parking, you can't just arbitrarily stop anywhere and just hold up traffic until you've accomplished whatever you need to do.
