David Jones was playing really good at the beginning of the season when he was using his big body and drive to the net. Don't know what happen to him but he totally useless out there now

And Jones brings more to the table in any scenario.

except reality. He's really added nothing to our team this year, just as Tanguay would have.

He hasn't been the same since he returned from his injury. I thought he was a decent player early this season but he deserves to be scratched today.

It was still a bad trade. Right now if the Flames decide to use their compliance buyouts they will likely be Jones and SOB. Sarich was expiring and Tangs is cheaper. It was another bad move by Feaster. Jones is a big body RW but barely a 3rd liner making $4M. SOB has a year left at $2M and is a 6/7 D.

Happened to be in the area on business….yeah right (i am actually in the eastern US and was able to make some changes to the itinerary to catch this game and Bruins on the 17th). Bucket list item to see a game in The Gardens, and beyond words it's the Flames. FYI…last minute on StubHub i got $318 Gold Club Seats for $75. If Sportsnet shows a Flame fan being escorted out it's due to my booze budget increasing. Hopefully will be coherent to share my experience. Go Flames Go!

What difference does this make? The team is not in cap trouble, the players are younger and bigger, which is what everyone wanted. If they don't work out so what, it's not like the money is coming from us.

Fair enough but the players are still 29 not like the Flames got anyone with untapped upside. Maybe it was the best Feaster could get but still a lost trade. It doesn't hurt the team at all moving forward but doesn't help them in any way either

You're talking about two players who have marginal effects. Thus, you need to take into account which is marginally better or worse.

Jones is better because he plays harder, even if he's still ineffective.
Tanguay is worse because he has a habit of not even trying at all, which makes it awfully hard for him to beat Jones.

Jones>Tanguay.

Not a great trade, but half of it was good (moving Tanguay).

I would rather have Jones as a 3rd line RW than Tanguay as a top 6 LW.
