I look forward to this series each season. This season is especially cool because I get to watch my favorite player, Datsyuk. I've always appreciated his skill but it's cool to see how much his team mates appreciate it/him.
Kinda disappointed by that episode. Can't put my finger on what it was exactly, but I enjoyed previous seasons more. Surely I'll come around and love the rest though.
Anyone else think Phaneuf comes off as a little...weird? (substituting less appropriate words) Definitely a little off. His pieces reminded me ironically of Sean Avery's parts in previous 24/7 runs. I bet if it was for Cuthbert, they'd be friends.
Datsyuk is a man of mystery. The whole team talks about him, but we don't get an interview unfortunately. Perhaps why he's quietly one of the best players in the league in which some people don't fully appreciate.

Ever seen a Datsyuk interview? They probably had a hard time translating gibberish to English
I think this series will end up being the least interesting one of them all. The players aren't as interesting and neither are the coaches. Plus it feels like both have become more careful with how they act with the cameras.
Nothing will beat the Pittsburgh/Washington 24/7 series... Was great to see behind the scenes of two hated rivals that were both in such different conditions at the time. Pittsburgh was on a 10 game winning streak, Crosby was playing the best hockey of his career. Meanwhile, the capitals were on an 8 game losing streak, Ovechkin was struggling, and Boudreau was mad as hell about everything. Was cool to see comparisons to both circumstances.
^That one was great, but I didn't like those two teams. I think Rangers/Flyers was a bit better. Focused more on the whole teams whereas it felt like Pens/Caps was mostly Crosby v Ovechkin (as it shoulda been, I guess)
But the more I think of it, both of those didn't really get good until the second episode. Maybe the HBO crews kinda start to get a better feel of who and what to film after that time? This one wasn't bad but definitely wasn't as memorable as any previous ones, maybe that'll change
I'm excited for the episode the Flames are in.....we play in Detriot this week!! Hopefully some good tidbits!!
If this episode is any indication, the cutoff is Wednesday night, so the Flames will be on the third episode that will air on the 28/29th.
Unfortunately, they don't really spend much time on the teams other than the Wings and Leafs, so unless there's a huge brawl on Thursday, we probably won't see much of the Flames.

I was disapointed in the censorship as well. However, like someone else mentioned, looks like it was toned down a lot anyway from previous years. At the very least my young son can watch now.
I think this series will lack a little because there aren't very interesting/charismatic players on either team. Dion is about as interesting as a doorknob and Detroit seem too focused to really give us much entertainment value. LA, Chicago, Anaheim would make for some really good moments, but not so much Toronto/Detroit. Teams are a little too boring.
Cool to see Phaneuf offer up $1,000 to whoever scored the GWG in the game right after he got suspended. Toronto ended up losing to L.A., but a nice incentive after costing your team regardless.
Edit - and Lupul first game back from injury throwing up $500 to the team's party pot for a win, and Bernier throwing up $500 for the party pot for a win against his old team.

Leaf stink.
Most of us here hate the Leafs and thus care not to see them have anything but ill-luck. If the Canucks were ever on 24/7 the only way I would like it is if it was a documentary about their Cup loss told from the Bruins perspective.
