28. Florida = 25 PTS (32GP)
29. NYI = 23 PTS (32GP)

I was referring to Flames fans hoping for losses.

We're losing whether people hope for it or not.

lol I don't hope for losses, I'm just trying to find positives. I do feel a top 3 pick will help this team a lot more than almost making it. I mean aren't we in the position we are in now because of all those "almost" years? It's time to embrace things for what they are

'Hawks activate Kostka for Brookbank/Rozival, and he ended with a goal and an assist...the 'Hawk 4th line set up the 1st goal tonight (Kostka's)...Sharp with a PP goal and a breakaway, Kane with a breakaway and 2 assists, Saad with two "greasy" goals on 2 shots...Toews has been quiet...but two periods of total domination of possession, and then a coast through the 3rd...the Stars got two from that brat, Roussel, both, also, of the "greasy" variety, a jam in a goal mouth scramble, and a lucky bounce of his skate, as his was cruising to set a screen. Lehthonen was chased with 4 goals on 19 shots...and the Stars looked like a sleepwalking road team, and were terrible, as usual, with a man advantage going 0 for 5 or 6 on their PP.

6-2 final from Dallas

I mean, maybe a little bit of credit, but let's be honest.. I can barely skate and even I could probably get some assists if I played with Ovechkin.

Outside of the Colorado game the Oilers since beating Calgary have beaten teams like Columbus, Florida, Nashville, Dallas and Carolina, those are all teams that an Oilers team with 3 number one draft picks should be beating at this point in their rebuild. The Oilers lost to the Hawks, The Yotes, the Jackets and the Flames. They also nearly blew it last night with sloppy defense and terrible goaltending.

Its a little early to declare a turnaround for the Oilers. It would be wiser to look at how they do in the next 6 games of their schedule when they face the Bruins the Canucks, ducks, Kings, Avs (You don't think that they won't come out with a strong desire to avenge their loss), the Blues and the Jets.

It could be that the Oilers come out of that stretch 0-7 and cement the bottom of the West.

Hopefully they end up with a nice solid 3-4 that doesn't rock the boat in any way.
