Nice rebuild you pathetic excuse for an NHL franchise.
In goals for and against per game the Flames are better as well. Not that those stats for the Flames are all that stunning.

That is just frankly one badly built Frankenstein of a team, and not the cool Frankenstein that rampaged through villages killing everything it came across. More along the line of

Frick, Principe, every time he interviews a member of the other team, his first question is always about how great the Oilers are.

Just like the gag worthy interview with the Rogers guy when he compared the Oilers as a young dynamic exciting organization to Rogers.

And I said to myself . . . self . . . it is a good comparison, Rogers is a badly run evil organization that doesn't give a crap about its customers.

There is no profit in taking that bet, Dubnyk is the whipping boy to end all whipping boys. Shame really, I think he could be a decent goalie if he wasn't part of that freaking circus.

It's not the actual A-hole of Canada but you can see it from there.

Cory Perry's sticks are as cheap as he is. He bought Anaheim an overtime 5-on-3 with two easily broken sticks on "slashes". The ducks didn't even get a shot.

Martin Jones is looking pretty good in his NHL debut.

Honestly, Dubnyk's ceiling is "NHL goalie". He's big, but doesn't really have much else going for him. On most teams, he'd be the backup at best.

This shootout is abysmal even by the terribly low standards of shootouts.

Big ole asterisk on it, but Jones was definitely full value for his first NHL win!

Full marks to Dallas, shorthanded with Seguin and Robidas out...but, Lehthonen is world class, and he stopped a 'Hawk onslaught, early, middle, and late...47 saves. The Stars tried to hold on to a 3-0 lead, but, the 'Hawks battled back...finally losing when Oduya made a bad pinch, hanging Hjarlmasson out to dry...Roussel got a penalty shot...deservedly so, and buried it for the GWG.

Not really surprising, the 'Hawks having a let down first game home after the Circus trip, as has happened before....Dallas made them pay for a sloppy (Defensively) start, by running out 3-0. Any lesser goaltending than Lehthonen's effort, however, and this game goes the other way.

The Flames are behind the Oilers in goals against per game and last in the NHL.

I'm not saying he's great but his stats don't tell the whole story. The best goalies in the league would look average if they were faced with the barrage of quality rubber that Dubnyk faces on a nightly basis. Watching the oilers play 5 on 4 because one of their "stars" floats outside the defensive blueline waiting for the breakaway pass is pathetic. Reminds me of watching Pavel Bure, score 60 goals while giving away 80 goals against.

Okay, amazing goaltending by Hiller and Lehtonen. The Stars play hang on in the 3rd period and it worked for the 4-3 reg win over the Bhawks. The Bhawks didn't score on the 2 man advantage in the 3rd period. The consolation for the Ducks is that they get 1 point as they lost in the 9th round of the SO. The Kings gave Scriven a rest and put a rookie in net, Martin Jones, and he gets his 1st career NHL victory. The Oilers get spanked 6-2 by the Coyotes. Ribeiro had 3 points in the game. The Senators beat the Panthers 4-2. Anderson played well against his former team as he faced 32 shots and Tim Thomas faced 45 Ottawa shots. There were gobs of empty seats in Florida for this game where Chris Phillips played his 1100th game. LOL to the Leafs losing again 4-2 to the Sharks, they are falling fast in the standings. The Hurricanes blew out their former div rivals, the Capitals, 4-1. Jeff Skinner had 3 points and Holtby was pulled from the Caps net after 2 periods as he let in all 4 goals. Goal of the season so far with Crosby getting the GWG in the 3-2 OT Penguins win over the Islanders. The Islanders are jinxed against this team, they can keep up with the offensive power of the Penguins. Same goes in a tight defensive game but just like in this game or in the last playoff series, Crosby and company find a way to win the game. A runner up goal of the year goes to Nick Foligno on his goal which was the GWG, the BJs won 1-0 in reg time over the Lightning. It was a shared SHUTOUT for Bobrovsky and McElhinney. Bobrovsky did the splits on a spectacular save but got injured, McElhinney came in and shut the door.

Unlike Calgary, Florida, Buffalo and even NYI and Columbus, Edmonton is going to make moves from now until the trade deadline to try and make the play-offs with little to no thought about the play-offs.

Once the other teams start unloading vets even the pathetic Oilers are likely to get a couple more meaningless wins at the end of the year that should take them out of bottom 3 range. I imagine that once again they will finish right around last season and get a 6-10 pick in the draft.

And the excuses and BS great second half garbage will come out from the team/media/fans and we can laugh as those morons once again think they have the mix to compete next year and dominate after that.

Would anybody have said that Phoenix Coyotes are 4th in the league in scoring?
