Orrrrr

maybe Burke did it because he is the new guy and they figured fans might want to hear from him?

Also, this was a fluff event love-in. It's not like they were talking roster moves or analyzing the performance of the last season or anything.

Perfect spot for the new prez to come in and give a 40,000 ft fly-by talk

So now any community work that players do ... is not really on them .. its on Burke for making them do it.

Bah .. people like this take the fun out of life for others.
Actually she said there was one player that would say he could make it then back out at the last minute.........she would have to scramble to get somebody, certain players were much more availible than others....

Maybe it's just what we've had to listen to in regards to saying what the fans supposedly wanted to hear, the last almost 3 years, but when Burke talks, it's worth listening to.

Very much like Darryl when he would do radio interviews, it cut through all the rumors, tangents and whsipers that were floating around, and you had a good feeling that things are in good hands.

Well, Usain Bolt set the Olympic record in the 100, and Jamaica set the world record for relay, a team which he was the finisher on. So, he did set the world record, just as part of a team.

They were building it originally for the Olympics to be fair. FIFA chose it as a location, it wasn't built with the World Cup in mind. In fact, they're expecting about a year of construction after the Olympics just to make it capable of hosting the World Cup. It's current planned configuration is strictly for the Olympics.

Russia as a country doesn't play games at the same rate as a local club would, the games will be more expensive and far more spread out than a club match would, so no, they still don't have a team.

He seems to know slightly more than you about other sports, so that's good enough for me

Yeah, liked the way he played for us. He seems like a good fit in Phoenix's system though.

I'm pretty adorable, just try to make sure you're correct when you're saying someone else is wrong.

I wonder if TSN is going to be able to get in a Burke interview tomorrow considering his new team plays his old team and they have the game?

Burke won't be in Calgary tomorrow. Oddly enough, he'll be in Toronto.
