Mac kept on producing without losing in regulation... Why wouldn't the coach ride him?

Now that he lost to ANA, it's time to play Ramo.

I'm glad to read that.
He deserves a start even if he loses. We need to know what we have in these guys and so far we knew most about MacD and relatively little on Berra and Ramo. Berra has been getting starts in Abby but Ramo is still limited to 1 game played this year. Increasing this sample size = gud.

I hope that if he keeps it close/performs well he can get another start the next game.

Good. He should get at least 2 games on this road trip. Hope tomorrow won't be ugly ... it's San Jose, after all.

I thought the Ducks game was going to be ugly after the first 5 minutes but it wasn't so bad, we carried the play during a few parts of that game. I think we will be alright against the Sharks too. I don't think we will get a win but it will be close again.

Ramo needs some starts to build some confidence. Only way to do it is to play and learn from mistakes. This is the season for it. No expectations, less pressure. Great opportunity to become the #1.

I have a feeling we can pull one off tomorrow. If we stay out of the sin bin and Ramo plays as solid even strength as he did last time getting his body in front of pucks then he'll give us a chance. The Sharks just got back from a road trip and the Flames were resting up already there waiting. The most key thing will be to come out like they did in the 3rd here right from the start.

If things come off the wheels, then oh well. It's some good experience for the kids and for Ramo.

Because he's 3-1-1.

I'm not mystified at all

Well, this could be a killer for Ramo. Either goalie would be hard pressed to come up with a win tonight and after sitting every game since he lost in game 1 (and didn't play that horribly), it has to be weighing on his mind.

On the other hand, it's a great opportunity to rise to the occasion. A win (or at least a really strong game) tonight would build up some good will and trust from the coaches.

I'm very excited to see what Ramo can do against this offensive juggernaut. He's been practicing against NHLer's for some time now, hopefully he will be at his best.

Ramo has the chance to become the flames #1 guy if he can manage to pull out a victory tonight. I guess we'll soon see what type of player Ramo is. Will he crack under pressure or take an amazing opportunity and make the most of it.

Ramo again in L.A. & Joey Mac in Phoenix, according to the Flames official Twitter.

hmmm....whoever plays, I really hope we can scounge up atleast 3/4 points on the road. I feel if we don't we are going to fall behind the pack.

I love this thread. We need a willtheyplayramonextgame.com site, like they had for Gomez scoring goals.

I love watching us win and playing well but our chances of making the playoffs are slim to none. I don't mind losing these games.

It is easier to swallow this year. Just hope they let the kids play.

From watching both of Ramo's games the only goal I think he could have potentially stopped was the tying goal the Caps scored on that terrible Penalty TJ Galiardi took.
