The ten point posts are clearly in jest, but the "5 points and I'll be happy" crowd concerns me. I love the start and it's fun to watch, but 5 points for a "going for the playoffs with Iginla and a veteran laded crew" squad would also have made me happy.

This team is bound to sputter, I hope the great start hasn't blurred the reality of the situation.

Three points is a good trip at this point, and keep them on that bubble through ten games.

The way the California teams are playing right now, if we can generally hang and get a couple points out of these 3 teams, I'd consider a good sign. Teams have been getting slaughtered by these guys.

My expectations are pretty low, but this season has been pretty nuts...so as Costanza said...let's get nuts!

I only want to see 2 points.

Just win in Anaheim, and everything else can be forgiven.

It's nice to be in this position of high hopes but low expectations. I expect the wheels to fall off in some of these games and the Flames to limp home with 3 points. I hope they get 6 and stay in every game.

I hope the Flames treat this road trip as a best of 5 series.

3 wins, 2 losses.

Try hard for 60 minutes every game.

I think some of us are getting our expectations a little high. I don't have a clue on how many points we'll get but if they can keep it close against the California teams and Monahan and Baertschi can keep it going I'll be happy.

My expectations for this road trip are the same for the first five games. Come out hard, play an effective system, improve each game and if a win happens, awesome.

I really think there are some winnable games here for the Flames. I think they'll go 3-1-1 for seven points. Should be a good test though against a physical Kings team and a dirty Coyotes team. Both games which I think the Flames can win.

I think we go 1-3-1. That will make me happy provided the effort is there in all 5 games. Realistically we probably split the Dallas / Pheonix games and lose the 3 california games with hopefully a loser point in there somewhere. Any 1 win in the 3 california games and I will be very excitied.

Solid playoff teams try to be .500 on the road.

That includes stops in Florida and Edmonton.

Playing .500 on this trip would be well beyond 'pretty good'.

I'll be happy with each point that they manage to squeak out and I won't be at all surprised (or disappointed if they played hard) if they only come home with a couple.

to put it another way, if they come home with 5 or more points, I won't just be jumping on the bandwagon, I'll be volunteering for the parade committee.

Do the Flames do another Cali road trip? I seem to have missed the boat on this one, but always had it in the back of my mind to tag along one of these days.

Do we know if they have put cancellation insurance on their Napa Valley wine tour?

As long as we beat Anaheim and end the curse, it'll be a good road trip, regardless of the other 4 games.

Going for 5 points. A couple wins, sprinkle an OTL/SOL and some losing.

Selanne always managed to kill the old Flames regardless.
Let's hope the new roster can change that.
