Provide solid, consistent play, giving your team a chance to win pretty much every game, and doing so for several years.
Or play well for a few periods for the Leafs.

You'd have thought that after the last game most folks here would have realized that a two goal lead against the Canucks isn't exactly safe.

Sharks just murdering the Rags.
Not surprising given New York's coach.

New Jersey is a BAD team that is not well coached.
Absolutely awful tactics...they try to use the boards on every breakout and zone entry. canucks D played so far apart trying to take away the wall...there were tons of breakaway chances there (like the one that sprung Backlund).
It's amazing they were able to hang in that long...they were dominated all game long but luckily Vancouver is not a great offensive team and didn't cash in on the chances they created. That and Schneider made some nice saves.
Devils could be one of the slowest teams in the NHL. The Flames should win on Friday.

What with this Hertl kid?
Sean Monahan is supposed to be the big scoring rookie that everyone marvels over this year..

Meh, whatever. Pretty easy schedule for them the past three games. Oilers, Flames and Devils.

How does SJ keep pulling golden prospects out of their a###? They're starting to get into Detroit territory for perennial competitiveness.

Calm down. It's 3 games. He could end the year with 12 goals for all we know. My question is, SJS score 8 goals and Thornton and Couture have 1 point? What's up with that?

Which prospects are you talking about? Hertl and Nieto have looked solid, so far, but that's about it lately from the Sharks. They both still have lots to prove.
Also Detroit has been overrated for years when it comes to their prospects.
