What a game, and what a weekend for the CFL.
Somebody commented about stupid comments by Riders fans. I have an interesting story to share. Let me start off by saying that although I am a Stamps Season ticket holder, I'm not really a Stamps fan; but a Bombers fan. But, if it's about civic pride, or cheering against the Bomber's arch rivals, I'm go Stamps all the way! (Yes, pull up the bandwagon.)
So, I decided I needed to wear something red; just to stem the green tide that I knew was going to be there. But what the heck do I own that's red? Well, there's my Flames jersey; that I haven't worn since the lockout began. Lockout's over, and I need to wear red, and it's a home town jersey......... no brainer, right?
Well, long story short, I had to get there early because I had lost my ticket, so I was there in the stands by 6:40. I had a Rider fan shout at me, "Hey, you know the Flames aren't playing tonight!" I was tempted to yell back "Yeah, and apparently the Riders aren't planning on showing up either."
I bit my tongue because there was 10 drunk Rider fans, and the last thing I needed was to start something with people who can't hold their beer.
