I've never been a fan of the squared-off shoulder caps. I prefer the rounded caps, and the other two Wild jerseys have the rounded caps, so that's the only change I'd make. Otherwise, it's a very nice jersey.

Bear, cat, whatever. Personally I think it looks a lot more like a cat. The short nose, the line across the eyes, the river clearly looking like the smaller cat mouth.
The point is, there were two people on the first page that didn't see an animal at all for a long period of time. How?

Haha, that was awesome from OutoftheCube.
"How can anyone not notice that it's a cat after 5 seconds of looking at it?"
"It's a not a cat, it's a bear"
"Cat...Bear....whatever, how did they not notice it was something?".

I guess I got distracted by the busyness. When I learned that it was an animal I kicked myself, metaphorically. I don't even think I ever noticed it myself, I read it somewhere. Of course, now that I've seen it, it can't be unseen.

I completely get what they tried to do, I just think they ended up overreaching and brought in far too many elenents.

I didn't notice it for years and the finally saw it after reading a blog or something. I can't remember why, but there was a thread that mentioned it so I made and posted this a few years ago, obviously it is a bear.

The fact that you have to spend more then 20 seconds trying to figure out what the logo is, tells you it's a crappy one.

It took me a lot longer than that to figure out there was an "H" inside the Whaler's logo, and that logo is awesome.

At least you guys aren't as bad as OutoftheCube. Not noticing it's an animal is one thing, but noticing it's an animal, but thinking it was a cat? Brutal.

The H is what really stands out to me. I never realized there was a W in the logo as well. And both sides of the H are supposed to be the blades on a hockey stick.
Now that I think about it, the Whalers logo is one of the all time best.

Haha I totally though it was a cat up until today. Is there any definite proof that it is a bear? Because it looks like a wild-cat, hence Minnesota "Wild."

I don't know, I was just messing with OutoftheCube. To be honest, it looks like a Sabre Tooth Tiger without Sabre Teeth.
It's snout and mouth are very cat like, and un bear like. Just look at carom's post with the comparison.

I always appreciated the wild logo as a nicely designed logo. Especially since it's difficult to create a logo trying to portray "wild". But I don't love it as a hockey logo. Jerseys look nice though.
