That shot is from Jersey? I thought it was from Brooklyn. Unless you can see the Chrysler building from Jersey? Or is it the Empire State Building?

He was a guest on Conan before too.
He had no idea that people were making fun of him.

Someone needs to photoshop the ML logo onto the one with the fairy wings... too bad he doesn't have such an outfit in Nucks colours.... would be more fitting I think.

actually, its neither. Both the Empire State and the Chrysler are midtown, which is a considerable distance away.
That tower is known as the American International Building, and its 66 stories. you can see a closer pic of it here.

Seriously...a bit....WTF is with the upside down visor shinguard?
A friend here who is a Psychologist with children suggested that the whole hat sideways, low rider pants schtick came from Prison Culture (eg. Pants lo ride because they are not allowed to wear belts etc etc). Im not sure if true but they sure look like hoods to me. What exactly is the message being sent?
How do any of the parents here feel about one off their boys deciding that they want to look and dress like the guy 2nd from the right? Is it harmless or is it a frikn waste of money? What would you say to your son if he came home one day dressed like that and demanded he was going to school or out with you in the same attire?
|
I heard that the "baggy pants" thing started because it was easier to conceal weapons and other contraband by having baggy clothes. I figured that the "low rider" pants was an extension of that... like; "Look, my pants are weighed down with so many guns that they can't stay up".

I think you guys are reading too much into it. It may have started as one of those things, but almost no one who dresses like that would know that. Kids dress like their idols and friends. It's just fashion for the current culture, brought to the masses through hip-hop. We can all look back at many trends and wonder why anyone ever dressed that way. Just the latest in the list.

The chick in that first pictures is hot.

So were those chicks in Hanson.
When I first saw Hanson I thought it was a mom, her little girl, and like the shaggy nephew or something.
