I was going to respond to the OPs rankings, but there's way too many problems to go over, so I'll just say this...
Anaheim is FAR better than you're giving them credit for. Etem, Silvferberg, and Smith-Pelley are up and coming and will likely be top skilled players. Their depth forwards are very solid. Their goaltending is likely only behind L.A. The defense is likely the only correct ranking you gave them. They were one of the best teams in the league last year, and for a good reason, they are talented and deep. Remember, Selanne hasn't officially retired yet, and you forgot to add Penner to the left wingers.
JMO, but Anaheim will be battling L.A. for the division crown this year.

For the most part I agree with you, although I would challenge you two things:
1.) On Defense, I'd put Vancouver in the three spot and move everyone down from there. I think Bieksa (as arrogant as he is), is pretty darn good. Edler took a step up last season, Tanev is almost like their Brodie. Hamhuis got an invite to Team Canada and has been rock solid since he joined VAN.
2.) Goaltending. This is still very much a wait-and-see situation, but I'm confident that after 30 games, one of Ramo, Berra or MacDonald will be superior to Dubnyk. So we can't be the worst. But I do get why you put the Flames at the bottom.
Most avid Canuck fans will tell you that Edler took a step back last season ala Giordano.

That's why I was looking at our new division like this.
On the surface I may have said Anaheims goaltending is among the best in the division, but there are too many unknowns in net. After a couple hot and cold season Hillier is behind Quick and Neimi in my books, and at best even with Smith. I think Fasth is still not 100% proven yet, I have heard a few reporters assert that some changes to the rules on goalie pads could hurt his game more than most goalies.
I think Griess is a tested Backup (an upgrade on Labarbera at the vary least). So I put Phoenix above Anahiem.
I understand your arguement that Anaheims wingers are much deeper than I had given them credit for, esspecially with Penner added last week and the possiblity of Selane coming back. I was curious where others saw the teams stacking up. California should certainly own this division for the next season or two.

I don't think our LW are close the best in the division. Sven Baertschi is gonna have to take a significant step forward for that to be the case. I hate the Canucks as much as anyone but Daniel Sedin alone is better than all our LWs combined. Ditto Taylor Hall for Edmonton. I wouldn't be shocked if we traded Cammalleri, so we'd most likely be dead last even in our strongest position.
[SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]I was looking at how position players stack up in our new division. Here is the way I see things. I would be happy to defend my rankings, or see what others think of the new division.
For having so much talent the oilers are garbage its because they are all soft you need balls not.just skills I like RNH dont get mad I watched him in red deer but eberle and hall were tested at the lab, results came.back positive with pussyitis taylor hall looks like a girl with short hair and I lost any respect for him after that knee on knee last year dubnyk is notgood or terrible he's definitely not gonna get your team anywhere oilers arent #### until they get a goalie then teams can worry

Netminder? Is that you?

I have my doubts, if only because amid the brutal sentence structure and bizarre use of punctuation—most likely in part aided by the fact this post was typed on a tablet—I could still generally follow this guy's rambling train of thought. Netminder was a constant and futile exercise in total incomprehension.

Yep. OP has made a couple of mistakes in positions. Daniel Sedin is listed as a RW when he's really a LW and Perry is listed as a LW when he really is a RW. That means that Hall and Sedin should give those two teams the edge over Calgary unless Sven takes a significant step forward and with Perry on RW, the Ducks are a whole lot better. Canucks should be listed much further down at RW unless someone steps up. Phoenix should be moved ahead of Calgary at RW IMO. It seems you are listing Jones as our #1 RW. Regardless, Doan is better than Jones and Vrbata (in Phoenix) is better than Hudler or Stempniak.

I miss Netminder. Wonder where he went...

1. Anaheim Ducks - Lost Ryan but still has lots of great talent up front and got a great prospect in Silfverberg, Goaltending is excellent with a Hiller/Fasth tandem, expecting Teemu to return. Leading Scorer: Perry
2. Los Angeles Kings - Hard working team in a division that is only getting worse. Will be perennial champions soon. Leading Scorer: Kopitar
3. San Jose Sharks - Can see them going far this year, although we say that every year, don't we? Leading Scorer: Couture
4. Vancouver Canucks - Overrated, getting older, Luongo attitude questionable, IMO this is their last year as a playoff team, and they start a rebuild if they don't win it all. Leading scorer: H. Sedin
5. Edmonton Oilers - Got better up front, but still not quite there. Made almost no change on defence, I don't think Ference is an improvement on Whitney, and goaltending is an issue. Leading Scorer: Hall
6. Phoenix Coyotes - Old, overrated, and will be eaten alive in this division. OEL and possibly Mike Smith will be the teams only bright spots. Leading Scorer: Ribeiro
7. Calgary Flames - Too many issues to list. Obviously in a rebuild. Will finish with a franchise worst record this year. Leading Scorer: Glencross
