The CBC today has released its distribution for the three way split telecast of the 1700h Mountain games on April 5.

Ottawa at New York Rangers is for the Ottawa area only.

Winnipeg at Toronto is for all of western Canada and the province of Ontario (except the Ottawa area).

Detroit at Montreal is for Quebec to Newfoundland.

There are two Saturdays left in the regular season. The decisions made for Saturday's games shows the complete ignorance by CBC Sports to its viewers as it has been for the past twenty years and beyond. The Red Wings-Habs game is a classic Original Six match up with playoff positioning at stake for both teams. The Jets will not make it in the playoffs and the Leafs are fading. The provinces of Manitoba and Ontario should be the only ones not seeing the Detroit-Montreal game. The staff at CBC Sports is disrespecting its western viewers and shows how truly inept they are. Let the verbal assaults (complaints) commence by email and phone. Good riddance to the CBC losing all control of HNIC. I cannot wait for next season with Rogers Sportsnet at the helm. It is unfortunate they could not have dissolved the current contracts and have Rogers taking over immediately.

Do you think anything will change immediately with Rogers taking over next season? It seemed to me like Rogers was giving CBC 2 seasons to keep doing their thing before they get phased out, sort of like a farewell tour out of respect for a program that's been a Canadian staple for 60 years or however long its been.

The CBC has no control over HNIC after this season ends. Next season, the CBC will be able to show a game, but Rogers will decide which game is on CBC along with City, Sportsnet, Sportsnet One, Sportsnet 360. and FX Canada. It will be a dramatic change for the better.

Next week is the final Saturday of the regular season. There are two games at 1700h, New York Rangers at Montreal and Toronto at Ottawa. The battle of Ontario will feature non playoff teams. Can the CBC show their incompetent decision making one more time? I hope not.

It's not incompetent. It's showing the game that brings in more money.

The CBC today has released its distribution for the split telecast of the 1700h Mountain games on April 12.

Pop the chamapagne, the CBC finally figured it out on the last Saturday of the regular season. The Leafs game will not be the national game.

Toronto at Ottawa is for the province of Ontario only.

New York Rangers at Montreal is for everywhere else.
It is the national game!
