How can every team be on the same flight? Having a 3-4 hour lead really means nothing.
Next week they go to Regina, how many flights from Yukon to Regina? ONE!

Even in TAR USA, airport bunching is common and it's virtually impossible to sustain any large lead without running into a task that doesn't open till the next morning.

I think if teams are taking the same flight, they should give the team that comes in first in the last task some time benefit, like delaying the other teams from getting started for 10 minutes or so.
Otherwise, what's the point of fininishing first when the flight is the equalizer.

The point of finishing first is that you win a prize for finishing first and don't get eliminated.
It's better to think of the show as a series of short races, where the winner of each receives a prize and the loser is eliminated from the overall competition, than as one long single race.

Yup, with no equalizers like flights, the show could get really boring, with a team way ahead of the others.
Teams close together = better television.

I don't get the whole express pass strategy. The clear and obvious strategy to those passes if you have two, one to give away, is to just burn it. Why on Earth would you give another team, one you're competing against that kind of advantage?
I guess the idea is that the team you give it to might help you along, but how much can they really help? Enough to warrant giving them a way to potentially knock you out?

It is just for the drama. Who will they give it to? Will they get repaid? Will they double-cross someone that they promised it to? Etc. I think that it is just meant to kickstart alliances, feuds, and cat fights.

I believe they didn't state things properly, and you have to give it away.

In an interview (found in the Herald a while ago), the hippies noted that if they had to make the decision again, they'd just not give it to anyone. That seems to imply you can.
Also, not cool Tims. I liked the old guys.

I wonder if the instructions explicitly stated that they had to fly all the way to Regina? When they showed the teams at the Calgary Airport, you could see a clock behind them that showed it was just before 8:00pm. They could have driven to Regina at that point and arrived hours ahead of the teams who went through Edmonton.

Dunno, but they did have budget constraints to deal with too.

I can't imagine the show wanting already tired contestants to drive long distances through the night, either.

Bah! One of my favorite teams eliminated last night.
Chances are, if the Tim's didn't double U-turn Hal & Joanne, the doctors would of.
I want the doctors off next, they are annoying. That Holly chick is pretty weak both mentally and physically. She seems to crack whenever there is adversity. For a doctor, you'd think she'd be more composed.

I am pretty sure once you have passed the U-Turn you can't be U-turned, so Hal and Joan would have been fine.

Shocked that it took the doctors one try at the football drill and Hal-Joanne 4 tries.
I'm mixed about the doctors, I really like the guy doctor, he keeps it together and he's funny.
That was a pretty physical leg of the race.
also Hal getting the ticket to Edmonton to join the others wasn't really worth it for 30 minutes(?) and it made enemies of the 3 remaining. I don't think the Tims forgot that.

I lik Hal and Joanne and am sad they were eliminated. I kind of like the Doctors couple but Holly is understandably physcially weak but I'm surprised she's also mentally weak being a doctor.

Man those Tim's really have a horseshoe up their bums. In the history of the amazing race, has anyone been saved twice by a non elemination leg? That's just crazy. AND this season we saw a team get eliminated with an express pass. Samething happened last season on the American version. Crazy stuff.

Well, I'm glad that team is gone. They've really stepped up the physical difficulty in the last few legs which I'm enjoying. It seems to be a lot less about catching the right flight or taxi and a lot more about which teams are performing well. Some of the US seasons the challenges have become pretty trivial and the eliminations are pretty much all about whose flight was delayed or which taxi driver got lost.

If the doctors had more confidence in their physical abilities, then they would've done better

That was the worst thing about them. In fact, if it wasn't for their constant "we're not physical" whining, they wouldn't have been a bad team.
Now, I don't really dislike any of the remaining teams.
