Option 3 is actually acceptable to me, excluding of course the two numbers above along with 66 & 69. Cue (ongoing) debate.

I would be embarrassed as a flames fan to have Giordano as our captain. I also would never buy his jersey. I think I will be wearing a plain flames jersey until there is someone out there worth getting stitched on my back.
Right now, there's not a player on the roster I want on my back. This doesn't mean I don't like the flames players, it means I personally don't feel any of them are worthy of it at the moment.

Assuming Kiprusoff retires, there will only be 5 active Flames that were on the roster back in 2009/10 (Giordano, Glencross, Stajan, Backlund, and McGrattan). Cammalleri was here in 08/09 as well.
That's a pretty significant turnover in jerseys, including the most popular players (Iggy, Kipper, Phaneuf) -- maybe 90%?

I would hunt anyone down and punch em in the taco if they put Gretzky's name and number of Flames silks, same as Crosby.
They're not Flames, they've never been Flames, they will never be Flames.

I think its cool to see ex-flames jerseys around the dome. I like to see the history of players on the backs of fans on the concourse.
