Very nice. This guy is just solid. Smart player, level headed, strikes me as a long-term keeper franchise guy.

Not overly excited about Monohan... but after Lindholm went, it was the best pick.

Nice.

Load up on centres... it's easy to convert them to the wing if you need to. Almost impossible to convert a winger to the middle, especially at the NHL level.

Flames actually have center depth for the first time in 2 decades.

I think he's going to be a good 2nd line Center. We need to have that first spot open for McDavid you know.

If Monohan and Knight are both as rumored to be nhl ready we suddenly have two big centers with skill and a 200 foot game who can win faceoffs. On top of that Backlund looks to finally be improving to the level that he needs to be.
We could be very young and skilled at center with the ability to lean on other teams.
Way to go Feaster, this was an easy pick to make.

Well of the players left on the board at that spot Monahan to me was the guy to pick.

To be fair, that meant "please pick me before the Oilers do".

There was a consensus discussed that Lindholm and Monohan were interchangeable with a lot of scouts saying that Monohan might be a bit better.
This is a great pickup for the Flames, bpa and fills a desperate need.

Will see if he will step right in. Not as personable it seems as some of the others.
