Yeah, they can't send down Kawasaki! Look at the Ference trade, the franchise was never the same again.

Chemistry is of huge importance!

2-1 Jays on a solo from Izturis. Then Muni hits a BOMB, but pummels it just foul into the 2nd deck.

What a clutch homerun by Jose especially after o'day beaking him last night. Love seeing them beat the O's... my enjoyment gets greater the redder Showalters face gets.

I wonder if Bonifacio has any options left? I think with Rajai to cover the outfield and speed off the bench it would be a better call to send him down for a stretch and move Isturis or Kawasaki to 2B full time until he gets sorted out in AAA. His defence is not great and his hitting is atrocious right now, he's almost an automatic out.

Weird to say about such a marginal hitter but Kawasaki looks like an integral part of the team to me.

Bautista tells O'Day to keep chirping after HR:

Well 53 wins short of 90 and 89 games left to get them. Pretty much need to go 6-4 every 10 games from here in to do so. If the starting pitching can continue giving them good starts they'll have a chance.

That extension they gave Encarnacion last season looks like the best FA contract in some time at this point. 9 million a year for what he's producing is strong value in Baseball. For a guy with his power a 34-39 BB to K ratio is fantastic. Whats a WAR worth about 4.5 million? I think he's projecting as a 4+ WAR again.

You would think he is ready to enter the Blue Jays line-up. I wonder if they extend his stay in Buffalo until the win streak is done.

I don't think there is any chance of that - if anything it buys them a game or two for him to get to game speed then be called up. I'm saying Monday he draws back in.

I'd really like to see the Jays lock Johnson up at the all star break. He'd cost but you're buying low to an extent and I don't think they'll find a better SP in free agency this year.

Agreed - he is the best sp going to FA, and his cost will no doubtly be extremely high.
