INTP--description sounds pretty accurate, and most of the professions listed are jobs that appeal to me, including my current job.

Interesting that 'guardians' and 'artisans' make up 80% of the US population, but only 25% of the people on this board. By contrast, 'rationals' and 'idealists' make up 20% of the US population, but 75% of people on the board.

Then again, that's exactly the sort of thing you'd expect an INTP like me to say.

Pretty much a toss up on Introverted/Extroverted and Thinking/Feeling.

So I guess I'm a mix of INTP, ENTP, INFP, and ENFP.

No wonder I have such a hard time figuring out what I want to do

I am an ISFP and everything I have read seems bang on. Very interesting test.

One of the many INTJs here.

The write-up was very accurate. Quite interesting.

ISTP. I think I broke the damn thing by giving contradictory answers.

One of the 2% of the population that is an INTP.

The writeup of me was far too accurate.

Though I am not sure being "very laid back" is always a strength though. I actually lost out on a job at Costco once because I was too laid back.

I also got in trouble just today because I dont *appear* to be treating a problem at work as seriously as my manager does. Apparently it would have been better if I was panicking over it.

INTJ, this is getting scary. I feel like a mini Cowperson, politically were identical, and our personalitys are the same. INTJ described me just about perfectly, and like Kevan Guy, I didn't totally believe in the personal growth points. Maybe we need to improve on those and just dont know it

INTP

Pretty much sums me up

I know many of us may be borderline in some of these "categories".

Like my thinking and perceiving are very low but very high in others. Curious to see scores as well to see how some may be both ENTJ but be on opposite ladders in some areas.

INTJ - description is pretty bang on. Particularly this part:

"tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk "

If there is one thing I suck at and can't stand engaging in its small talk. Give me a specific topic to discuss and I'm OK but when it comes to chit-chatting - I find it really hard.

Wow! I'm really impressed at the level of accuracy you all say is in the descriptions. Also, I can't believe the disparity between types -- son many of a couple versus none/one of others!

Maybe the other types never check out the off-topic forum ...

ISFP here...

I read description, and for the most part it's dead on accurate. I still don't see where it says what % of the world is ISFP though. A couple things I don't really consider myself in the description..but for the most part..scary accuracy.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I retook this test and came out differently. It's been nearly 4 years since we did these tests so a little change is perhaps not unusual.

Why not take 10 minutes to retake the test (or take it for the first time!) and see if the outcome matches you at this time.

Test is here.

I went from INFP to INFJ and feel it actually does match me better now.

ISTJ

Quote:
ISTJs are often called inspectors. They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for devotion to duty. Punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ. The secretary, clerk, or business(wo)man by whom others set their clocks is likely to be an ISTJ.

U.S. Presidents: George Washington Andrew Johnson Benjamin Harrison Herbert Hoover George H. W. Bush Paul Coverdale (U.S. Senator, R-GA)
Jackie Joyner-Kersee (U.S. Olympic athlete)
Evander Holyfield, heavyweight boxing champion

INFP for me.

INFP type description by D.Keirsey

Healers present a calm and serene face to the world, and can seem shy, even distant around others. But inside they're anything but serene, having a capacity for personal caring rarely found in the other types. Healers care deeply about the inner life of a few special persons, or about a favorite cause in the world at large. And their great passion is to heal the conflicts that trouble individuals, or that divide groups, and thus to bring wholeness, or health, to themselves, their loved ones, and their community.

Princess Diana, Richard Gere, Audrey Hephurn, Albert Schweiter, George Orwell, Karen Armstrong, Aldous Huxley, Mia Farrow", and Isabel Meyers are examples of a Healer Idealists.
