^^ Here you go
Pedestrians... or "pedos" as I like to call them now- are the scourge of driving.
As a driver, I always try to be respectful of pedos.
When I am on foot, I try to be respectful of cars. I also use my brain in both circumstances.
MOST pedos do not have any respect for cars at all and will walk willy-nilly slow as molasses when it says DON"T WALK and gives you 3 seconds. That is the time when the yellow light is coming and cars need to turn you walking d-bags!!
Also, the law does state that a pedo has to be out of the crosswalk before the car can go. The number of times I have been stopped waiting for a pedo, and some jackass rips passed me, many times in a playground zone too, I can't even count them! If you see me stopped at a crosswalk it's probably not because my van ran out of gas, it's probably for a distinct and very good reason! So in conclusion of this rant, I am a better pedestrian than others, and a better driver. Thank you.

Maybe you need to use brighter paint on the free candy sign on the side of your van

Let's assume that this is the street view from my car and I am driving straight ahead.
True or false:
As soon as a pedestrian enters "A" to proceed to "B" I must stop, even with the median there.
Alternatively, if the pedestrian was walking from "B" to "A", and I was in this same lane, I am still required to stay at a stop until they have reached "A" and not just until they reach the median (and off of my part of the road/direction of travel)
I believe that I have to wait until the pedestrian has completely cleared the crosswalk, whereas a friend believes that you are clear to go as soon as they are out of your lane, because of the median.

For this reason, cars should have a 3rd blinker option that signals to people behind or off to the side that they have stopped because of a pedestrian, and not that they're still texting, or receiving sexual favours.
I remember as kids we were taught to put our hands out when we crossed the street, presumably so as we emerged from in front of the stopped cars, we would be more visible. In this era where people's vehicles are just as tall as an adult and can hide them from view, it might be worthwhile re-teaching this technique to adult pedestrians.

Crosswalks on four-lane roads are so unsafe. 15 years ago, our nanny was walking home and got killed by car speeding in the left lane, when the car in the right lane stopped for her. It was a 17-yr old girl behind the wheel. One life was taken and one life was ruined... When I stop for a pedestrian and see a car speeding in the left lane, I move my track to the middle of the road, just in case pretty much all the time since then.
Common sense for both pedestrians and vehicles is what is needed far more than stricter traffic laws.

I think I'd rather be run over and killed than cross every street with my hand out like I was mentally challenged. And I have almost no shame or sense of personal dignity, so I doubt I'm alone on that one.

So you think it's only the mentally challenged who are smart enough to cross a street correctly?
As a driver; it would make life so much easier if a pedestrian had to signal that they wanted to cross.

People on both sides don't understand how free flow or merges work, not just the people entering the flow of traffic.
