I picked up a black Reebok helmet with #77 on it. I can't for the life of me figure out who wore #77 this year. Any ideas?

Anywhere from 400 to 2000.

That's steep even for Meigray's standards.

It looks like every year this sale is getting more and more expensive, like the Oilers one. I remember getting a Gameworn Conroy jersey for $190 a few years ago.

I got there about Noon and Kipper's $200 jersey was still there. Along with a ton of the other game used jerseys, practice jerseys, game used sticks, skates and gear.

I was talking to one of the people working and they were saying how the sale is directed more towards the collectors not the everyday fans looking for a deal. If that's the case, they have some prioirties wrong.

The only items with collector value outside of elite players are the jerseys. Helmets, sticks, and the occasional skate actually have value in the collectors community.

Therr is no reason why a brian mcgratten helmet should be over $100

I don't think it's that bad. I got a practically brand new Easton S9 helmet in colors I would have to special order for $40. I got Bauer Supreme One95 gloves that have never been used for $100.

Thats half price of what I would have paid when they came out last year.

As well the equipment provided to NHL teams is of a much higher quality than what is on sale at Sport Chek.

Didn't get my equipment bag, but did get a brand new pair of black Reebok gloves (Pardy's) for $100. Also picked up the 2012-2013 gameworn retro Baertschi jersey ($500, only 1 set of retros this year, 3 each of the home and aways) for a friend who is going use it a a Christmas gift. Also picked up a black Bauer helmet with Flames stickers (no number) for $45, a red and a white practice jersey for a buddy in Germany and a pair of the regular home and away socks to go with it.

It was great to touch base with Rhettzky again as well!

When I got in there were probably about 10 Iggy sticks left on the rack ($250 each) -- more than I wanted to spend but they were snapped up pretty quickly after that.

Still lots of gloves (black) by the time the early crowds were done shopping; many new pairs so I'm assuming the price was higher than usual. Also lots of older blank helmets (both black and white).

Jerseys were similar in pricing to the 11/12 one that are listed on the Fan Attic website; nice to be able to flip through the racks and see the selection in person.

Nickerjones, I'd love to buy a pair of warrior retro gloves when you're selling.
