I've been trying my luck getting office clothes at the thrift store and am doing pretty well with it. It's a weird way to shop since you rely entirely on your own judgement and you can't always get what you want, but paying $25 for 2 shirts and a pair of pants rules.

The guy has made more money than you or I will in numerous lifetimes, and has his picture taken in the paper and is interviewed in those same outlet mall suits. He will golf with guys of similar financial stature in his Winners pants and golf shirts. I actually busted his balls a bit one day about his 'Dockers' and said "Dude is worth more than the GDP of some small countries, yet he's rockin a pair of Sears Dockers." His response "Only an idiot pays more than $50 bucks for a pair of pants."

Some people aren't pretentious turds, and don't give a flying fark about what some loser who maxed out his visa to buy a bespoke suit thinks. Especially when they probably own the building the Tailor is renting in.

A good pair of jeans costs like $75.

I don't agree with paying $300 for a pair of jeans but if you want made in North America or a 1st world country, the cost will be around $75 or more.

I'm willing to pay a lot for a pair of high quality Japanese made denim. Only because I will wear them everyday. Something like this:

I won't spend money for a pair of gaudy jeans with a huge label/fancy designs on them though. Something like this:

I could be blind, but I haven't seen anybody else mention Mark's Work Warehouse. I get most of my shirts from Mark's.

My pants vary. I used to buy a lot of stuff from Old Navy, but they don't seem to be as nice for the office anymore, and Old Navy shirts fit when I bought them, but after the 2nd wash they were waaaaaaaay tooo short. Old Navy pants pockets aren't very deep so I can't keep loose change in my pocket, and then the pocket wears out quickly anyway so if I manage to not lose my loose change when I sit down, they change will fall out one way or the other.

I don't want to give away my favourite style/shops/clothiers or else all you fools will rush out and buy everything- leaving me SOL.
