Well just a little update as I really hate when the op in a thread like this does not tidy up the story.
I went with her for cofee this afternoon and had a little talk. I told her in black and white just what her bf looks like to her friends. I then took her to costco and picked up the tab which was not much. I asked her to give me her power bill and shaw bill and I would take care of them so off to the bank we went and got those cleared up.
After that I told her that I did not feel comfortable lending her cash and she understood my perspective. Which was basically ditch the loser and smarten the eff up.
As for deadbeat well I did call him and tell him of a few job opprotunities I know about. Ill let his personality and resume do the talking, if he gets a job great, if not its not my problem. Im not sticking my neck out for the guy.
Thanks for the advice CP it sure helped me come up with a plan of attack. I feel I made the best of a crappy situation.

I know some people who just say their in financial stress, but don't do anything to fix it.
I only trust a few select people I would loan money too. I loaned a friend of mine $50,000 to start up a business a few years back and just last week he cut me a $100,000 cheque. I wasn't expecting a return of that amount; but hell I got no complaints.
