Yeah. I'm willing to drop every Canucks joke here. Those prices are absurd, and nobody should pay them for a round one playoff game. Finals? Sure, that's about reasonable for that.

It's no surprise tickets are that high. I heard water sports are very popular in Vancouver.

I planned on atleast going to a game this year when the Flames came. But the cheapest I could get was $100 in the nosebleeds. Ridiculous.

Meh. Hop on the bus, go to the game. After the game, hop on the bus, go home. Not exactly the "biggest pain in the ass imaginable".

Interest didn't usually pick up until the second round (which was usually Edmonton)

Just my two cents but it seems like the Canuck's window to really do something in the playoffs has closed. Before the 2011 playoffs I honestly thought they just might win it all, and hey they came pretty damn close.
But after last year's 1st round exit, and the continuing goalie drama they just arean't the juggernaut going into this years playoffs that they have been, I certainly don't get the sense that they are better than they were in 2011, and they don't strike me as a dark horse.
So were I Canucks fan I'd pass on the early rounds to, they haven't demonstrated anything to indicate they are worth getting your hopes up for.
It's one thing to come into the playoffs as an underdog (see Wild, Islanders) and get excited, same for the favourites (Blackhawks, Penguins), but if you're a fan of a middle of the pack playoff team that's likely to underachieve?

Had an idea!

Yeah, for the price of going to one game you can pay for satellite TV, plus NHL Center Ice, plus Gamecenter Online.
Simply not worth it. I love watching hockey live, but its still just as nice on the 55'' plasma.

Maybe they should include free tickets to Keslers annual diving competition which he takes part in every year.

I'll have you know that planning parades takes a lot of effort and energy. You'd be surprised how little time is left to do things like go to see hockey games.

I just looked and you can still get SEVEN seats in a row. At least the Canucks are one franchise that never disappoints me!!

not 100, if you see on the picture one of the section's is a half section
so there is a rail between the two, and aisles on either side

I've done exactly that. It sucked beyond belief. Building the arena out there was a huge mistake, and could have been fatal to a non-Canadian market.

Makes you wonder how much they could increase revenue-especially in lean years-if they build a new arena in a central location in the city itself.

I'd guess zero because whiners will always find something to whine about. Plus they'd have to spend something like $400 million to build a new rink.

It's apathy. Do you know how many people I've heard say they will start to follow after the first round? Too many to count. This is a fair weather market and right now everyone is sitting and waiting to see what the team will do.
And for a sellout you only need to be at 90% capacity. Kind of a BS stat after I found that out.
On an unrelated note, Freddy Braithwaite's brother works for the Canucks. He looks just like him.

You're living in the past, remembering the old CBC hockey. It was great. Now everything they do is like a sad parody of what they used to well. Video montages - not bad, but ramped up on the cheese factor significantly. Everything is mediocre to downright ugly. However, I like Cherry more than I use to though - strange that.
