Go to your original post, click edit, then click go advanced. You can change the title from there.

I see what you're saying and I am finding it hard to disagree with the gap between the talent as you assessed it (Sakic also being my favourite non-Flame player of all time).

However, I think the rarity of tiers as you move up the chain makes those players at the top, all the more valuable.

Sad to see such personal verbal jabs coming from a fan. Why are you a fan?
How can you not hold the entire franchise accountable? Why is it only ONE man you choose to slander when its an entire group of men you should be calling asses and idiots.

Not sure what this has to do with being a fan or not? The fact I expect more from the GM seems to indicate I have a big interest in the team. But I guess telling people how to cheer forcthexream is all the rage now.

I think the whole hockey staff deserve blame not just Feaster. The reason I only included him is that I haven't heard Weisbrod, Conroy or Hartley taking shots at other teams.

Asking why is not telling you how to cheer for a team. Just curious as to why a fan would make such sharp jabs at one person for something like making a joke at the expense of a rival.

It should go without saying that finishing at the bottom of the league as often as Edmonton has is not the way the franchise wants to go. There really is nothing wrong with saying "we don't want to emulate Edmonton" because, frankly, we don't.

I think Moon's point is take a look in the mirror before you pass judgment on others. Especially for an NHL GM, "the a$$ you kick today, could be the same one you're trying to kiss down the road"

Feaster should really just shut up about the Oilers. It just looks unprofessional and it also smacks of deflection of criticism in that "hey at least we aren't as bad as those other guys."

First press conference as GM he's taking shots at them while saying Flames will make the playoffs. Feaster is one that looks bad in that exchange.

Let the Oilers dig their own grave. Feaster's eye pokes do nothing but make the organization look bad especially as he has presided over a similar amount of failure.

Mackinnon/Drouin/Barkov would be amazing additions to the Flames.

Feaster clearly had both his first round picks in play when he tried to sign O'Reilly from the Avalanche.

Would a package of our 6th overall and our 1st round pick next year (likely a very high pick) be enough to jump up a few spots?

Why in the name of all that is hockey would you want to trade our 1st round next year to get into a top 3 spot this year (up from 6th that will still net a very good player) when our 1st next year could very well be in the top 3 anyway?

Bah. Taking shots at someone worth respecting maybe.

Given how often the flames are told they are doing it wrong and how the media and some in Calgary love the oilers, I hope feaster reminds people daily how little respect we should have for them.

I have a bigger problem with his comments last off-season than these ones, but his not wanting to be last place comment rings a little hollow when he is building a team to do just that.

he is? for all we know he'll go out this summer and reach the cap again with a bunch of vets/UFAs in an attempt to grant Edwards' wish. unless you mean he's unwittingly doing it by being a bad GM. I still don't think there's enough evidence to definitively say that one way or another. this situation is just so very different than even a couple months ago.

I would say short sighted moves to "try and compete" while getting us just outside the play-offs is doing just that. But I guess Feaster can pat himself on the back for not being worst just being 6th worst instead. What a great accomplishment!

Trying and failing >>>> trying to fail

It's the difference between a girl struggling to be a professional dancer and a girl becoming a stripper.

So the girl who became a stripper became more successful?
