Enjoyed the season post trade deadline as weird as it sounds.

Guys... the season isn't over!

We have to rest up for a few days until the Canucks start the playoffs. CP is honestly my favourite place in the world when the Canucks are in the playoffs.

Say if we got Lindholm/Barkov/Monahan this season, and managed to get Reinhart next season, what would we do with Backlund?

It would be a great problem to have and wouldn't be "problem". Let's get one of the three you listed first though...

Move him to the wing?
Start one of the other guys out on the wing?
Trade him to upgrade another part of the roster?

I hope the type of problem you are suggesting here becomes a problem we see a lot of regarding the Flames in the years to come....and that is having so much young talent (especially down the middle) that management has a hard time trying to fit it all in the line up.

Keep him. The more depth at center the better.

What if the Blues play the 'Nucks... What the hell do we do then???

If its in the first round, I say we cheer on the Blues and really hope they lose in round 2...

... If they meet up later on, I'm not sure what to do... Tough call

The only cheering I do for the Canucks is when they're eliminated. The more embarrassing the better.

About 3 mins to go, Miller said he was slow getting up after a sequence in front of the net. Next couple times down the ice I noticed he was standing differently in net, never went out to stop the puck on a couple shoot ins...then rushed off the ice right after the game.

Thought he was hurt, I am guessing from these tweets, probably severely dehydrated and are taking precautions.

Thank God its over. Least amount of hockey I have watched in i don't know how many years. Not sure if it was the lockout, horrible no defence hockey, Iggy getting traded or the Kipper is done movement but what I do know is that this year sucked.

Hartley needs to go. He is like Keenan. No defence leave the goalie out to dry. Keenan damaged Kipper Hartley may have put the nails in the coffin.

Not sure if I can take another year of this crap. At least during the young gun era I was drunk most of the time so at least I had the chance to blackout and just read the boxscore in the paper the next day. Now I would have to start drinking again.

Was able to catch the game at work...but unable to post in GT from there.

Flames were flat early, but did well in the 2nd and third...much to be proud of. MacD had no chance on Kane's goal or Kruger's (Dismal turnover to tee up Kruger)...the D completely misplayed the 2 on 2 for Toews.

I thought the shorty bounced in off of Street...but in all, it was good hustle/judgement by all on the PK unit. MacDonald deserved to be one of the Stars...he gave your guys a chance (even if you Flame fans really didn't want a point tonight).

The Hawks were able to limit top line minutes...Hossa and Toews were only around 15. Eight guys from Rockford and the three normal healthy scratches will be in the lineup at St. Loo, tommorrow. So, except for Emery, my guys should go into Tuesday's playoff start fairly healthy.

Better luck next year to your Flames and, of course, you Flame fans. Thanks for letting an opponent fan drop in to visit with you fine guys and gals. I would invite you to hate my guys a little less for the playoffs...or even cheer for them, if we can get to the Canucks in round 2!

No, we're unofficially 5th right now because Carolina has played less games than us so they move up a spot as we are tied. However if Carolina loses tomorrow, we hold the real tiebreaker (ROW), so we'll pick 6th unless they get a point.

Nashville also has the ability to leapfrog us, improving our draft pick.

The blissful end to the third-worst season in Flames history, behind 97-98 and 72-73. The 1998 draft being, of course, the legendary Rico Fata draft.

Interestingly enough, when you look at the 98 draft, the four guys taken behind Fata who jump out as being the best choices of the first round are Simone Gagne, Robyn Regehr, Scott Gomez, and Alex Tanguay.

Two of those four guys ended up, as we know, being huge for the Flames.

I like your sentiments, but the Hawks can't play the 'Nucks until the Conf Final... Hopefully they don't make it that far!!

MacDonald played ok tonight for the most part, but can't let the puck through on the Toews goal, and punched the puck to Chicago in the slot and was spinning like a top when Kane scored. Rebound control and positioning were a mess. But the Flames scored only one and got chances against the best team in the league. Entertaining in parts.

Hope he is ok.

Foss, that goes without saying...

By the way, I in no way hate the Hawks. The only guy I don't care for is Kane because of his d-bag attitude. Other than that, his skill is something to behold.
