Sven Baertschi and TJ Brodie have become the face of the franchise.

Sven will score 30+ goals in this league. You just know it the way the puck seems to find him. He may even get 30g, 60 pts. next year.

Flames have a lot of wins in regulation, going to win (lose) all the tie breakers.

Need a win from Edmonton, Nashville and Carolina.
A couple wins from Tampa would be nice too. They have a game in hand vs Toronto tomorrow.

Baertschi now with 9pts in 18gp. (or 19?)

So he's now on 0.5 PPG pace. I think this is more important news to Flames fans than the fact that he's even on the 6 game point streak. Early on and already starting to come into offensive form. This also indicates good things about his offensive ceiling, if he continues to elevate his stats this quickly.

Also, I can see the Flames finishing the season in 26th, or the 5th draft position.

Edm comes up big against the Canucks or Jackets in a close one, maybe a shoot out win to snap their horrible streak, and Nashville gives it a little extra to spoil their divisional rival's playoff plans and rides momentum from beating us. Or Carolina rides their win streak to 3.. Flames make it close against the Blues but fall short, fall again in the second back to back in Chicago convincingly, play Irving. Yep, that will be my prediction.

Though 8 of those 9 points are in the last 6 games, he has 1 in the other 11 (from the beginning of the year).

He has really turned it on playing with the young guys and getting some ice-time. Early on he was playing with scrubs and not getting as much ice-time. He looks to be battling better as well on the boards.

I think this is how it ends. Bunch of unmotivated teams. Edmonton especially has proven to have zero pride. Tampa and Carolina are better than they've shown but no reason to show up now.

God I love seeing McGratton wearing a Flaming C again. In one of the saddest Flames campaigns in recent memory (including the ¨we give and we give and we give...¨) McGratton is one of the good things to happen this season.

The crowd seemed pretty lively in Nashville to go and see such a crap team on such a skid playing another bottom feeder team from somewhere in Canada.
Must've been free gun giveaway night or something there.

Man I wish we re-signed Cervenka. Dude would be on pace for 40 pts in a full season and he only averages 13 minutes a game. Don't know why there is so much hate for the guy.

Carrie Underwood was holding a CD release party. Or she just straight up told everyone to go and they did.

Because he is the softest player in the NHL and does not play in his own zone. Also there is no room for him, unless you would rather have him over Horak. Tanguay is not tradeable and Cammi's value will be much higher at the deadline.

Wideman at the end there sure didn't look like he had an urgency to get the puck to the net... he looked Gio off for a good 2 seconds (despite Gio feverishly slapping the ice with his stick) and then fluttered it gently at the net. Gio kinda had a wtf look on his face at the end too...

Is he gone? Is that established?

Wideman knows we need at least Barkov to stop sucking before his contract ends.
