Begin. Sarich can wear the A during the times that Steve is in Abby.

They should have a reality show, where each member of the Calgary Flames compete to wear the Captain's C.

I'd go with Giordano. Good chance Cammalleri will be gone at the trade deadline next season.

I believe in the Jays.

If I were betting on who get's the next "C" it'd be Giordano, him or Glencross.
With regards to the other names thrown out I think you want to avoid naming someone who doesn't have much term left on his contract to avoid having a constant captainsy turnover, So the guy who has the best skills for the media facing aspect (Cammy) is out. You want someone with history with the team (so Wideman is out). I like Backlund but he seems pretty reserved so if he's a leader I'm pretty sure it's of the "by example" variety I wouldn't object to stitching an "A" on his jersey as a nod to the young guys but I think he's ill suited for the "C" at this time. So that leaves Giordano and Glencross, and of the two Giodano wins out by his contract lasting slightly longer.
just my 2 cents.

If Feaster is able to ink a reasonably priced extension from Cammy, I would like to see him as Captain.
He's got the best leadership/mentorship/media, etc. skills of the current team as he always brings enthusiasm and is not afraid to speak out (his end in Montreal)
Even if he is traded as a UFA at the next deadline, I wouldn't mind him as Captain as I think a rotation of Captaincy is needed to break stagnancy and to encourage other players to step up and stand out.

Cammy and Tanguay need to be moved, so I don't think they should be in the running.
I'd like to see Glencross move on as well, but I don't think that's an option.
That leaves just Sarich or Gio.

Cammy looks like he has it in him, but I would prefer to go with 4 As next season and see who emerges as a leader naturally.

They should have five A's who combine into a Captain at the climax of each game.

I think the C should go to Cammy, hands down- no question. The last person I would have wearing an A is Scoreface, he's a whiner and I don't see him as the best role model. I think Sarich should be a candidate for the A, as well as Stemp, Backlund, Gio or Wideman. I don't think the kids are ready for that kind of responsibility yet, with the exception of (maybe) Backs.

Cammi- C
Brodie- A
Gio- A
Glencross- A
IMO Brodie is the future captain of this team.

No captain yet, no one has earned it. Let's see how Brodie progresses.

I don't think anyone has stepped up to wear the C. Go with 3 A's - the third being alternated between two players based on home and away games. Let someone step up. It's an open field as far as I'm concerned.

No question? Are you kidding? "C" should be awarded based on an all-round qualities of a player including play and leadership. His play has been mediocre to say the least and way under his pay scale this season. Can you provide any standout leadership examples this season? I can't.
People that are suggesting Backlund as Flames next season captain are living in some kind of a dreamworld.
My opinion: Besides Kiprusoff, Giordano and Wideman are the only two players that more or less consistently demonstrated playing, leadership and mental toughness throughout this season. Brodie did too but he might be a bit young for a "C" role. Glencross seemed completely disengaged way too many times for a captain.

No C until someone proves they can be as good as Iggy.

Gio has been consistently bad. Until this last stretch of games anyways.
