I don't really have an issue with Duck Sauce but have always thought that if they could superimpose the player's name who scored instead of the "Barbara Streisand," that would be even better.
The crappier the dubbing, the better too IMO. Actually, have the guys record their own voice the way they want it to play if/when they score haha.

This would work especially well with Daft Punk-esque robotic overdubs for most of our current Flames:
"... Curtis Glenncross"
"... Mikael Backlund"
"... Alex Tanguay"
"... T.J. Brodie"
"... Roman Horak"
"... Dennis Wideman"
But not so well for:
-Mike Cammalleri
-Lee Stempniak

Other than Chicago and Boston, those are all pretty bad. Especially Vancouver - why would they choose that awful song?
I always thought that the current goal song was chosen to emulate the Blackhawks' - something that would annoy the #### out of the opposing team. At least, the Canucks.
At least the Flames can't lose out to the Oilers here. No matter what is chosen.
I don't think the new song has to have a fire or flame theme, but something that'll get the fans pumped. The current song would be okay if they found a version without the "Barbra Streisand" lyrics.

They don't use "Barbra Streisand" anymore. They just loop the "woo-hoo" now.
None of these songs come even close to Sleep Now in the Fire.
In the goal song thread (which exists somewhere) it really stole the spotlight. And rightfully so. It's the perfect goal song for the Flames. It's got that Chicago anthem feel that's both celebratory and that sort of "in your face" swagger. Would get on opposing team's and fan's nerves pretty effectively and would feel awesome for all the home fans to chant along with at the same time. We need a new song for the new era, imo.
I didn't mind it at first but after a couple years now, Barbara Streisand is becoming borderline embarrassing the more I think about it. So many superior goal songs around the league.
Just never, ever touch Spitfire. That song is perfection.
