Bus boy at any tent will pull in minimum 100 a day in tips even if you are useless. You just got to be nice to the waitresses. Typical would be $200 a day. Do it every year for the same bar with the same people and your tips keep going up.

When I was 16 I got to help run the virtual reality ride. Was a good gig for a 16 year old. It was also the first year they introduced the toonie and I easily made an extra 200 bucks just picking up change the ride would fling out of peoples pockets.

Firsy day on the job though, the first thing my boss says to me is 'this is a 3 million dollar machine. Each of the seats costs over 100 grand. Don't break it.' Hah!

They were actually pretty cool guys though. The main investor/boss was in his young thirties and he was a partier. Shame I was only 16 cause they mentioned they'd love it if I could join them. Last day when I helped them with takedown there was literally a pile of cash in the tens of thousands just sitting on the stage when I got there. They had wrapped up the week by doing some Stampeding of there own and I guess it got a little wild.

Anywho, I would suggest working with alcohol if you can. The tips are generally beyond ridiculous, and who knows who you might meet.

I would just find out if you have to get your ProServe certification first, and get on that. I think when it first came out you could actually work for a few weeks while you got it done, but I think it's a strict prerequisite now.

Have fun !

Got a job as a beer vendor. It's a split shift as you work the rodeo, get a 3 hour break, and then work the chucks. I wanted to just work the rodeo but I don't think you can. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Does Stampede Lottery winner count as a job? I would take that all day long.

Or maybe the female staff change room attendant at Cowboys?

Porter at Ranchmans for the 10 days. You make decent wage but great tip outs from both the bar and your own bartender, barring you do your job well.

Its tough work but a nice payday at the end of the 10 days. Plus you see a ridiculous amount of hot girls

They pay by the horse/bull so with a strong arm and wrist and a willingness to get a little dirty there's DEFINITELY some money to be made!
How did i not stumble across this when I was needing work as a young'un?

You want to work the chucks though. That is where you're going to sell a tonne of beer and make some serious money.

Try your best to get assigned to the infield - you will rake in tips from drunk corporate folks at the rodeo, and you get to leave after the chucks at 9 or so to go do some stampeding of your own.
