I used to do the old brake tap when somebody was tailing too close, but after a watching a guy get angry to the point that he may or may not have caught on fire I stopped doing it. Then I heard a story from my mom about a co-worker who had her (tinted) rear-passenger window smashed with his infant daughter in the back seat... that reinforced the decision to stop.

Some kinds of justice in this thread can be a little fun at times, but don't forget the world is saturated with crazy.

LOL, just texted that scenario to my buddy, and this is what I got back:

"he is lucky as hell she didn't take his plate #"

Not really. His word versus hers.

He's actually lucky to this point that someone he never wants to meet hasn't gotten out of their car after he's stopped him and beaten the crap out of him.

If he does it often enough, percentage wise, its going to happen.

It would certainly get him a visit from a Constable. I am guessing lying to a cops face, isn't as easy as it seems.

He didn't wanna do anything but this guy kept following him. So he called me up and told me this guy would not stop following him. I instructed him to get off at Peigan Trail and drive to the Wendy's and if he keeps following you ill be there.

So I rush over to the Wendy's and wait there. A couple minutes later my brother pulls in with this guy in hot pursuit behind him. Before my brother can fully stop the guy jumps out and punches and smashes my brothers side window. I jump out with my handy bat and threaten to take his head off if he doesn't leave. He proceeds to get in his jacked up truck but not before I return the favor and smash his windshield and side window.
After reading this I take back every single negative thing I've ever posted about you. Well done, sir!

If there's a witness, they might get a visit, particularly if the victim insists on charges.

If there's no witnessses, a report is certainly taken but not much else would happen.

If he licence plate has come up in multiple similar instances, maybe h gets a visit.

People lie to police all the time in person.

Persoanlly I prefer angry mob justice because it means you are siding with the majority.......I have wanted to honk when a driver is at a red and on his phone, but I then think, how I would feel if it caused an accident.

The geniuses that text and drive 100 kph frighten me to no end.

I know you think your opinion is always the correct and final say in matters, but I think you are wrong. This is not a guy hopping out of his car at a light, this is someone essentially running someone off the road to confront them.

But again, I asked what would happen if a report like this was made:

"Likely someone would be sent out to question the guy that stopped her and get his side of the story."

"If the woman was boxed in, and forced to stop on a freeway, this is a very serious incident. Especially if he got out of his car and threatened her."

I know there are a few law enforcement individuals on this board, I would like to hear their opinion.

Yeah he should be thankful he hasn't ran into Erick Estrada on the roads.

Your words. I'm just offering an opinion. Ditto yourself.

It doesn't bother me if you think I'm wrong. Seriously. Happens every day on a lot of topics. Don't sweat the small stuff.

I got pissed and passed out on my buddy's couch, so him and another friend decide to use moving boxes and such to construct a fort over the couch for me to wake up in. The morons also decided to throw a plastic drop sheet over the whole thing.

I was lucky to wake up before I was totally out of oxygen and got out of the thing. Realizing that I was lucky to be alive, and that I would never be able to forgive him unless I got him back somehow, I took a dump in his bed.

Not my story, but one of my older cousins. It happened about 10 years ago.
My cousin - who at the time was 19- and a few of his friends were walking back home late at night after getting slurpee's. While his friends were talking to each other, my cousin noticed that across the street some guy -who looked to be in his 30's - was hitting a girl outside a bar (he presumed she was his girlfriend by what they were saying). The guy and girl were with another guy, who looked like a massive Russian bodyguard.
My cousin walked over to the guy, asked what was going on and the guy just said to get lost and threatened to mess him up if he didn't. So without further notice, my cousin one-punched the guy who was hitting the girl, knocking him out cold. Immediately after dropping the guy, the big Russian grabs my cousin from behind by the shoulders and lifts him 3+ feet off the ground - my cousin is like 5'9 and his friends were even shorter. My cousin said he nearly crapped his pants, he thought he was screwed.
By this time, my cousins friends realized what was going on, and one was sprinting full tilt over to my cousins rescue. Sprinting full speed, he tackled the big guy, hitting the back of his knees. The Russian dropped to his knees, simultaneously dropping my cousin. As my cousin landed on his feet, he turned around and then decked the Russian. The big guy tried to get back up to fight some more, so my cousin and his friend kicked him a few times until the Russian decided to stay down.
The drunk girl thanked them. They told the girl to find better company, and they walked off.

Slightly meaner then the dump in the bathtub, but full points

I'm not trying to justify what I did, but feel the need to clarify a little bit. In both instances, I never once feared the drivers car hitting mine. On Stoney, I came to a stop, but not slammed. I slowed to a stop and there was no other traffic behind us. I would not have done it had there been traffic behind her, thus jeopardizing a crash there as well. Nor was she ever boxed in. For the playground zone, I did slam on my breaks but the guy behind me was far behind and had tons of time to break. I would never put myself in that position if I thought there was a legit chance of either party getting hurt.

For the first one, when I exited my vehicle, I motioned with my hand as a phone/hawaiin hand sign to my ear and screamed "get off your f'n phone", and got back into my car. I never once moved toward her car, nor did I utter threats. My intention was not to come across as threatening at all, but as maybe a wake up call that she should probably put her phone away.

And whoever mentions the axe...I laughed. My dad always carried an axe handle too which is why I would never actually walk up to a car.

And yeah, I honestly do get that what I did was completely stupid. No denying that. Was it criminal? Very well could be but I don't know. I think that I too will ask the next officer I see and check what laws I could potentially break in that situation.

Texting while driving, drives me nuts, but at the same time, I 100% understand that you would not want a bunch of idiots, like myself, stopping in the middle of the road to teach people a lesson. Irrational lapses of judgment? For sure. I'm not "dumb" though, so I'll take what everyone had to say and remember that for next time and not stop in the middle of the road.

Thanks!

One day JonDuke is going to snap at the wrong guy and get the living piss beaten out of him.

Some guy started following my friend after he cut him off (it was a dick move by my friend no doubt and he immediately felt bad about it) and because of the tinted windows, he didn't know there was 3 of us in the back seat. When we pulled over and all of us got out he sped away. Was that you Jon?

I would never follow anyone, but the last consensus taken did indeed show I was the only person in this city who is a dick on the road, and off, so it probably was me.

Vigilante justice tailor made for this:

Step 1: Visit your friends place, if possible scope the fridge for a nearly full container of margarine or butter.

Step 2: Stealthily take the jar with you to the bathroom. (Make sure you are brewing a healthy grimace.)

Step 3: Remove the contents of the container. Taking care to maintain the integrity of the top exposed layer.

Step 4: Carefully place a stool sample within the container.

Step 5: Place the previously removed contents onto the sample.

Step 6: Place the container back in the fridge. Only if you are satisfied with the appearance of the container, so that it doesn't indicate any tampering has taken place.

Step 7: Wait.

As the bus comes round the corner and pulls up I finally snap and tell him to picking the ####ing bike up. After about 2 seconds of something approaching attitude he realizes I'm not messing around and I basically marched him over to the bike, made him pick it up and stand it neatly against the wall and told him to have some respect for the neighbourhood and the people who live there. Then we had a pretty awkward bus ride for 10 mins until he gets off. Ha. It kills me to see someone intimidate others and act like a pos and nobody says or does anything. This was one of those instances where you just had to do something. Not quite Charles Bronson but you have to start somewhere.
Great job, now this kid is off to find somebody else smaller than him to take it out on.
But at least you were not put out anymore by this kids attitude.
