I remember this show, but can someone please explain this Chicken For Lunch place? Because on the show and from what I hear, this place always has a crazy line, and when I look at their food, it's the most generic food court Chinese food ever.

Seriously, what is the deal? It would be like a massive lineup for Manchu Wok.

Just wanted to add this place i went to today before the game. It's a pub in an old warehouse building. The food is good, but I have to say, most all of the waitresses were hot. very healthy. would go back

The chicken is good (especially the dry and spicy, aka "crack" chicken). I've only had it once but would definitely get it again. Also the generous portion sizes, and the friendly/quirky owner (apparently she remembers everyone by name and what they order... for the newbies, she just decides what to serve you ). Not sure it justifies the massive lineups, but it's not the same as your standard chinese food court fare...

I worked in that building for a number of years. Even when the line goes back to the ecalators it still moves faster than any of the other lines. Amazingly efficient to be honest.

Piccolino is the only place for Italian. I have a few Italian friends that are very picky about the authenticity of their Italian food, and they swear by this place. I've been a few times, and the food there is incredible.

142 ST and 91 Ave.

I always felt bad for the place right beside them. Chicken for Lunch would have 50 people in line, and the place beside it would have no one. I didn't feel bad enough to buy my lunch from them, but the thought was there. I had a senior manager at KPMG there that would buy his lunch every day from whatever place had the shortest line. He went beside Chicken for Lunch often.

This made me laugh harder than it probably should have. The Prime Minister knows the best restaurant in Edmonton: https://twitter.com/pmharper/status/333035667745566720

Wildflower Grill in the Matrix Hotel downtown was quite good. That was about 4 years ago though the last time I ate there.
