I see, but the draft selection is determined by the regular season standings. Once the playoffs start, I really don't care. I wanted Iggy gone, but I still love the guy and hope he does well. I'd love to see him win it this year.

Wow Montreal is loaded with 2nd and 3rd rounders. At least we have our three 1st...

Lol, Ovechkin best player in the game right now? Maybe he'll get the Hart if he gets the Caps into third place. People thought he should have been bought out like a month ago; what a turnaround!

Has another hattrick tonight btw.

Edit: Now tied for second in goals, and 2 behind Stamkos for the lead.

I hope we have more by the time draft day rolls around. With the cap going down and that much cap space available the Flames are in a nice spot to take on a contract or two along with some picks.

I honestly don't believe our current management is willing, and possibly doesn't realize that this is a distinct option. It just makes so much sense to do that it'll never happen with our horrible past.

Prove us wrong Feaster... prove us wrong.

He did address other team's cap problems, but it was framed in a conversation about being able to make moves using the extra firsts. So it sounds a little scary.

Yep, I think there is a great possibility of us moving draft picks rather than us getting

Feaster already tried to give away a likely lottery pick for a guy who might of only played 100 games for us (or maybe even 0). I'm sure management will be very wiling to move those lower picks with the terrible direction ownership group wants to take.

This is what I thought, but someone else said this:

30th: Stanley Cup winner
29th: Stanley Cup loser
28th: East/West runner up
27th: East/West runner up

And looking at the 2012 draft:

30th - LA
29th - NJ
28th - NYR
27th - PHX

It would appear that person was right.

Highly unlikely, but that PIT 1st rounder could be as high as 23rd overall

Josh Bailey and Bryan Bickell each got a goal today, so I am one happy panda.

It's probably a little too early for the mother to dress her kid up as Saku Koivu for Halloween...

But yes that kid is incredibly frightening.

After those four teams comes any remaining division winners. The Pens will easily win their division, and look to be, at worst, the second best of the 6 likely division winners, after Chicago. So if the Pens lose before the conference finals, their pick is 26th. If Chicago also loses before the conference finals, the pick is 25th.

MacDonald gives the Isles insurance! They lead 4-2

Quite a shot from the Isles defensive zone falling onto his stomach

Add to that the parent holding it up like Belloq holding up the fertility idol in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Overall it was just bad news.

Thanks guys.........all I heard previously is that the winner picked 30th and the regular season standings determined the rest. Not until surfing tonight (and reading Canada02's post) that I realize I was wrong. So the Pens pick will be late regardless. I'm more interested in how the Blues do. I hope they get swept.
