I guess when you have the puck 90 percent of the time it doesn't matter. But it seems they could use help on defense to help cover the inconsistent goaltending.

Last year was a complete defensive meltdown, I honestly think people are blaming MAF too much. They did need a crease clearer so Murray was a big help. Martin is nowhere near the same player as he was last year... I've never seen such a night and day difference in how much drastically better he has been this year. Letang, Oprik, Martin, Eaton, Niskanen, Murray isn't a bad 6 to have

I've always liked Orpik. Will probably never forget the Orpik hitting against Detroit on the Stanley Cup series, 4 hits in 1 shift, that was unbelievable!

But yes, "GoIggy", I'm sure you're excited with your team, damn. I'm hoping I will get to be this excited with Flames in 5 years time...

Yea, orpik's definitely one of my favorites. I'm trying to stay somewhat realistic, but a part of me wants to just start freaking out with excitement.

And who knows...Right before the lockout in 04' I would have been jealous of the flames roster... things change quickly
