This version of the Flames is by far the worst team defense club i can remember since the late 90's.

When? This year without a center?
Clowe could be a good third liner for the Rangers here, has that grit and has shown offensive flair before. But this seems like a lot to give up for a player with 0 goals.
Oh well, another winger gone come deadline day. Now pretty much if you want one you need to come to the Flames

Look for #Rangers to dump some $ before 3pm. The plan is 2 extend Clowe at some pt and parameters r understood for a new deal. #TradeTracker

Both are accurate.
Defensively the Flames have been terrible, but every goaltender, including Kipper, has let in far too many bad goals.

Wait, so I guess Clowe didn't have more value than Iginla. We should all reflect on that.

Same thing, though, right? Like a late 1st is actually a 2nd...

Out of thanks, so repeated for reflection.

A good deal for both teams. I think the Rangers will benefit from Clowe and the Sharks can get some assets in return for a player not likely to sign.

Had an idea!
Yikes.
So the Rangers, in desperate need of goal scoring trade for a guy that hasn't scored all year?

Don't think they need goal scoring, they need jam.

Who would you rather have on your team going into a playoff round ..... Clowe or Bouwmeester?
Feaster took the Blues and Armstrong to the woodshed.
Armstrong will likely be fired before Feaster.
The Blues were paying Davidson 2M/year to run hockey ops........ Armstrong signed a 5 year extension with the Blues after being GM of the year.
This year Columbus with Davidson at the controls looks to be as good as the Blues.....
The Flames missed the boat in not dumping King/Feaster and bringing in Davidson when they had a chance.

Great deal for SJ. 0 goals for a player of his caliber is just unacceptable. Amazing he even garnered more then a 5th.

Yay!! They shipped that goon to the east far away from us! SJ did very well on that trade IMO

Gotta love how San Jose given their position are willing to sell one guy since they're sort of middle of the play-off pack. Had that sort of a willingness existed in Calgary circa 05-07 we may not have had to do what we're doing now, who knows.

All I remember about this guy is when he was taunting Iginla with a rubbing his eyes cry baby face in that playoff series against San Jose a few years back.
