Kipper sure looked like his head was someplace else...not sure he'll have any suitors left after this disaster of a season. Speaking of disasters, I'm somewhat fed up with Jordano's garbage play. Seems like he's lost it. Cammy and Tanguay have checked right out, both completely invisible tonight.
On the good side the Euro line was flying, banger line was bangin...checking line was ok. Sarich played pretty well. Dubnyk was really good.
But on the brightest side, the Blue Jays open tomorrow! End the misery already...

I skipped the game and went to the movies. I doubt i'll be watching many games from now till the end of the season. I knew what was coming and am not surprised to see the result.
Hopefully the upcoming draft and free agent frenzy gives Flames fans some hope
I can handle a bad team that competes but this team simply can't play basic defense. When you are a rebuilding team you need to be good at the basics in your own zone and try and keep games close and low scoring. The two first goals were completely laughable in how much time and space Oilers were allowed to walk in on Kipper. There's just too much pinching as forwards are leaving the zone early and defensemen are joining the rush too quickly. It's a complete mess and even Keenan would be disgusted at the way this team plays defense.
Not sure if what this team would accomplish bringing back Hartley next year if they are going to play this style of hockey as it's not the way you want to break in rookies letting them form bad habits early. This is how Phaneuf's career got sidetracked.

Drouin is sure slick. Total impact player. I hope we somehow pull off getting both Mackinnon and Drouin.. the hockey gods owe us one.

❤ Close your eyes and say my name and I'll take you far away. To a place where you and I can be.. without everyone to say, na na na na na na.. and I'll take you far away. ❤

careful what you wish, Blue Jays always make me nervous
When your best player in terms of effort and generating in the offensive zone is Brian McGratton you have big problems.
I didn't see a whole lot of "Give a crap" in the Flames tonight. I saw a Kipper that looks like a guy that knows that he's down to his last dozen or so games in the NHL and is looking at gettting them over with.
I saw a TJ Brodie that is really struggling and not getting much help.
Michael Backluind showed a bit, but not a lot of bear down around the net.
Its disgraceful when at the very least you can go into Edmonton and really play with their hopes and dreams and instead compete like a wet blanket.
Its going to be tough for me to give a crap if this is the effort that I'm going to expect.
