The goal was meaningless with 3.9 secons left in a rout... he clearly needed the week to get himself up to speed, he still looks a bit slow and coasty out there late in shifts. Dude really needs to get it together over the summer, all the tools but the conditioning isn't quite there. That's not a tough fix if you have the commitment.

I agree with this. I don't think this thread good form in a Flames forum as why should it be thread worthy if a young Canucks player gets sent down? I don't think that the trade was a landslide win for the Sabres but I believe they got the better overall player as Hodgson is leading the league in scoring amongst 2nd year players and the Sabres plan on building the team around him. That's a good return for Buffalo as Kassian may be a top 6 winger but will never be a guy you build a team around. However I understand the trade Gillis made was with a disgruntled player that wanted out and my issue is why he and AV let it escalate to where it got to that point. The way AV and the Canucks treated him when he had back problems was kind of pathetic and I can't blame the Hodgson camp for souring on the Canucks. Considering the trade for Roy and the center issues the Canucks have had Hodgson would have looked really really good but it seems he and AV just were not going to work much like Gaborik and Tortorella.

So we can only talk negatively about the Flames? Maybe try looking around CP, there is plenty of that already.

Issue is not conditioning. The term meat head comes to mind to best describe his issues on the ice.

He was demoted plan and simple with the direct instruction to work on a number of things. Kassian is good in bursts, unfortunately they are short bursts.
