Wow, didn't hear Peter on the radio but I don't blame him. He's very close to the team and I imagine Iggy has been very good to him over the years. Even I had to take a few deep breathes yesterday after hearing the news. Its a tough day, Jarome is not the typical athlete and he didn't have the typical career with Calgary. You don't see his level of class and that type of longevity with one organization much at all these days.
It'll be a tough press conference, I'm kind of glad I'm at work and pretty busy.

I can totally see why Maher would be emotional today, the guy has covered Iginla for 16 years. He's probably built up a pretty close relationship with him, on and off the air. You can tell Iginla respects Peter a lot when they talk on air. I think it'll be a pretty tough day for both of them today.

It was one of the rare games where i listened to the entire 3rd period on the radio but i was hoping Maher was going to "YEAHHHH BABBBY" the Iggy game winner against the Blues.
