Flames scouts should have a book an Hanowski as former Flames draft pick Aaron Marvin was a teammate of Hanowski for 2 years. And if the pro scouts were really watching college games during the lockout as Feaster indicated they should also have a book on how his game has progressed since Marvin graduated from St. Cloud.
I do like that he is the St. Cloud captain as well.

Agostino had (or is having I guess) a great year for Yale. Compared to others in his conference Agostino ranks 4th in points, 6th in goals, 6th in assists and 8th in shots.
Agostino seemed to be pretty consistent month to month as well, as he was only under a point per game in 2 of the months, October where he had 1 point in 2 games and in February when he struggled with 4 points in 7 games.
edit:
I also came across this article on hockey futures. it is from November.
Agostino has taken a few pages out of New York Rangers forward and captain Ryan Callahan’s style of play. Agostino is implementing some of Callahan’s own success into success for himself.
“I want to be a complete player like Callahan,” Agostino said. “Callahan’s defensive zone coverage and his transition offense is something I like. Those are two things I am trying to improve on. I also love Callahan’s work ethic, obviously if you can work as hard as he can you are doing all right.”

Couldn't we have gotten both these guys for like a 5th and 6th? This NCAA fanatacism is really discouraging
Just because they were drafted late doesn't mean they aren't good prospects. Could Johnny Gaudreau be had for a 5th? No. Their stock has risen because of their play.

I'm excited to see them play either with the heat this year (Hanowski), or at development camp this summer!
We can't hate on them because we don't view them as a good enough return on iggy...it's not their fault they were included in such an important trade.
Why couldn't we get Todd Harvey, or Dan Cloutier off the Rangers instead. Fire Coates.
I doubt that. Iginla was drafted 11th overall and was coming off a great season in junior. He was definitely a bigger deal.
With this trade, it sounds like the Flames are going with a safer bet. Hanowski and Agostino sound like they have a good chance of being bottom 6 character guys, while the prospect Boston was going to give up (Khoklachev or whatever) sounds like he had top 6 (even 1st line) potential, but was anything but a sure thing.
What would you rather have? A riskier homerun type of pick, or a couple of bottom 6 players?

What we need is high end talent, we have plenty of bottom six players.
And this Russian stereotype is really getting on my nerve, not every Russian is an Radulov.
