with multiple games in hand on the entire league...not saying the Flames are great or anything but they are not legitimately in last place.

They're only games in hand if you win them.

Haha what, no they aren't. They're only good if you win them but they still are currently games in hand.

yeah they are games in hand until you play them...Flames have been pretty steady winning half their games, I suppose thats what one could suspect

My post from the Guilty Pleasure Player Thread:

I know there may be no more respected player in the league than Teemu Selanne...but...for a 'Hawk fan, the guy is like kryptonite vs. our team...of his 1400plus points he seems to have about half of them against the 'Hawks! Every time he steps on the ice vs. my beloved 'Hawks, I expect him to get 5 goals and 4 assists...but applaud the guy, just the same.

So of course the guy kills my 'Hawks again with a GWG...

There is pretty much an assumption that the Flames are going to blow this.

I remember a couple of years back when people were talking about how the Flames had a playoff seeding despite being marginally ahead of teams with several games in hand. We all saw how that turned out

Those Ducks sure came to life late in the 3rd with those 2 quick goals as Anaheim wins 4-2 over the Bhawks and are now within 3 points of Chicago. The Wild regain 3rd place in the west as they beat Detroit 4-2. The refs blew that no goal call on the Red Wings. It was so obvious on the replay that Heatley touched it with his glove and it wasn't a high stick. It's a dumb rule that it can't be reviewed, wake up NHL! The Avs show some grit and win 4-3 in reg time over the Stars. The Sharks came back from 3-1 deficit and defeat the stupid Oilers 4-3 in the SO. The Sharkies are in 8th place now. The Leafs win for the first time in 5 games, 4-2 over the Lightning. Lupul should be suspended for that check to the head.
