Just curious Jake.... what kind of car you drive?

Anyway... Guys (and gals)(LF)(yeah, I know its you), I was just bitching about the fact that this guy actually LOWERED the hummer and lacked the necessary skills to manoeuvre the behemoth around Timmy's parking lot. I was just making fun of the guy. I was just... Starting up a p*ssing match between people who can spend frivolously and people who don't.

What have I done? :P

You cant tell me that the# "look at me in my uber cool car" aspect doesn't come into play in that purchase decision.# With the depreciation level of the cars it is not like they use them for investments.

You seem very angry. You can't tell me that people that buy expensive fancy cars don't have a "look-at-me!" type personality. That is at least some part of the decision to buy a Ferrari/Bentley/H2.

I've already talked to the wife about this issue at length and we agreed that the next car we get will be a hybrid electric.

I can tell you people that buy expensive cars may not have that "look at me" personality. Havn't you heard of a car enthusiast?

Hey thats cool Jake. I'm not slamming you personally, just generalizing a bit because from what I've seen, the stigma fits the bill in most cases. Most. Not all.

And like Hulk said, I too like fast cars, thats why I have a Focus stationwagon.

I nearly saw a Hummer go into a canal in Amsterdam in May. The guy was trying to parallel park next to a canal with no guard rail. The wheels were inches from the edge. That would have been great to have seen. Supposedly Amsterdam averages one vehicle per week in a canal.
