My favourite earlier memory is from his first game when whoever was doing colour for us (I want to say Ryan Walter?) called him Kippa Mikrusoff on more than one occasion.

Well to be fair 2 things. No one foresaw Kipper being this good. Darryl even admitted he didn't either. Also, we all know Dowbiggin is an idiot, very little question there.

My favorite media hate was Game 1 in Vancouver 2004. Kipper just let in his first or second goal, and the CBC Canuck homers pipe up "There is playoff inexperience right there!" They had mentioned it at the beginning of the game, and you could just tell they were waiting to drop it.

Never forgot that line. That to me shows how little these media guys know, and how little we should get worked up by them.

Nobody expects anybody to be one of the best. That's why some of the best players in history have actually gone undrafted. But sarcastically insulting someone is just downright rude and cruel, and it's even better to see that Kipper is now pretty much running down the road right into the hall of fame.

Yes. He's been one of the top 3 goalies of the 00's and early 10's consistently.

Also he's currently 23rd on the all time win list and should be 17th by this time next year. If he gets another 100 wins in his career (Should be able to do that if he's playing till he's 40) then he'll be 8th all time.

Considering he was 27 by the time he became a starter, the fact he has that many wins, and the chance to be in or near the top 10 in wins is ridiculous.
