I'm scared....
ROR is a good player, young and definitely fits our needs. However, this was a great year to finish at the bottom and possibly get a top 5 pick. And only 2 years? If things don't pan out then we will have wasted a couple picks for nothing.
However if it does work out, we have a great centre who is only going to get better.
All of Feaster's moves have been high risk/high reward. I sure hope this ends up on the high reward end.

Qualifying offer. Has to be a certain percentage of the last year of his salary. So if the flames want to sign him after that, the QO is going to be more than 6.5 mil. A very scary thought, but they can negotiate with him before that...

Those who have speculated that Feaster isn't 'in' with other GM's and this has made things challenging for him...this move will only alienate the organization further.

If COL doesn't match, we'll only have a 4th, a 6th and two 7th in the upcoming draft if I'm not mistaken. Goes to show you how desperate this organization is.
