I frequent that stretch of road and I've seen plenty of drivers speed up specifically at that section to make the green light. I don't know who programmed those traffic lights at that intersection but the cycle is brutal for those driving on Berkshire Boulevard.

I can sort of understand how the first car might have hit the woman but not the second car. You must not give a crap about your vehicle if you're willing to drive over something that big... or you're just being negligent.

CPS is now looking for the two drivers who swerved around the pedestrian.

Is there a Good Samaritan law in Alberta? If not, do we need one?

There are many possible explanations.

Likely same could apply to second driver as well. Who runs over something, drags it 50 meters and doesn't get out to check?
Article says it could be distracted driving so yeah texting could be involved, through they say speeding was not. I'm just putting this out on the limb here, but I assume the ones that drove past the deceased are probably asian.as Sandstone has mostly asian people living in the community.

In China, nobody stops to help the injured as they could be accused of something they didn't do.

Wasn't it like 6am? Not much difference in visibility between that and at 2am

A day has passed and the second driver hasn't come forward and I'm pretty sure that by now they realize what they've done.

It takes a special kind of scum to know that you caused that kind of harm and remain in the shadows. so distracted driving or thinking it was a garbage bag is irrelevant to me.

Congratulations your a hit and run driver.

And a scumbag.

Considering we don't have video or even a great description of what happened it seems like there are a lot of possibilities for the two cars "driving around" the body.

I think until more details come out it seems pretty rash to assume the worse.

As someone who actually lives in the community, I'm keeping my eye out for any car that looks "suspicious" (like they may have hit her).

Also it isn't that odd that she was hit, people are complete ###### drivers in Sandstone. I've had countless people speed passed me through the long playground zone. No one pays attention here at all.

I've lived in the Sandstone Community for over 20+ years now, and yes Sandstone is lived entirely by asians.... mostly the elderly because of #3. Also, if you don't believe me about Asians ignoring the injured, take a look at this video and read some of the comments.

This video was 2 years ago with a little girl getting hit by 2 cars and 15 people just watched her bleed and walked away.

Of course you can argue that this isn't china, and it isn't but with the foreigners, they still believe in that kinda thing. I wouldn't blame my own ethnicity if I never had seen this video or have asked my parents about why they ignore the injured.

^I remember a few years ago there was a guy from Okotoks (a mostly white town) so for sure he must have been white, hit a family with his cement truck.

Does anybody have any clips from France or Germany showing people being horrible to each other so I can prove that a white guy did it?

Latter part of this statement is completely false and irrelevant; as anyone can drive on the streets.

Again, a blanket statement that is completely false.

There are caring people of every ethnicity; just as there are D'bags of every ethnicity.

I think he's trying, albeit poorly, to say that there is an aspect of Asian culture (which is an incredibly over broad term. Chinese? Thai? Korean?) that may explain people driving around an accident or injured person. I've seen it happen in parts of Asia, and it obviously also happens elsewhere, but if his family has told him 'we don't stop because x' then maybe there is something to it.

Is caught the correct term or is it identified?

Legally, not morally, did the two vehicles that drove around her do anything wrong.

BTW, morally I think they did and it is disgusting. I am interested to know the legal perpective.

His points are valid. Obviously the entire community isn't asian, but there are a lot there, and just read up on passing injured people on the streets in some parts of the world, and you'll see it's a valid point to bring up.

Not saying that's for sure what happend, for all we know it was two d-bag white people, but just saying that it isn't really racist to bring up that possibility when it's a real possibility.
