Good chance of it. Toronto's on year 7 of no post-season, but there's a decent chance they'll make it this season. Calgary's already gone 3 years, chances are they won't make it this season. . . . It took awhile for Toronto to re-orient itself after Sundin retired, and I expect it'll probably take awhile for the Flames to do the same once Iggy and Kipper leave. I think it may actually end up taking slightly longer than 7 years (total) if Iggy and Kipper stay here and the Flames get nothing in return and continue to try and shuffle the chairs around them.

Wow that is a huge line up for the suicide booth. Where is my lawn chair?
Better be planning a lot of suicide booths in the new stadium. Some luxury ones too.

Losing? Not even on his mind. He's too busy thinking about how he can ensure the franchise retains their $80 million dollar investment past this season.

That was awful.

When Tanguay, Cammellari and Glencross suck, there's not much this team can do

We're about to flip over year 4. Only 5 years would be a good turn around imo. It's going to be at least two more years to get back in after they identify that they need to change their direction and that hasn't even started yet.

I'm with you. I can't stand cheering for a loss and will never do it. If it happens where we get a top pick, great, but I by no means will want to go down that way.

I feel like I should apologize to Brent Sutter. He had his faults, but damn that man tried his brains out to get Iggy and the boys to play consistent hockey. Sometimes it looked like Brent even got through.

Yeah I said that earlier. Could take up to 9 years depending on how long Iginla and Kipper play for the team.

team will have to win at an impossible rate to make the playoffs so they are better off losing from now on

I'm happy they lost. This roster has literally no chance of winning the cup and Feaster and co will never sell off unless they are really far out of it. The only way forward is improving the asset base and selling at the trade deadline and adding some young dynamic players via the draft.

Losing is the best thing that can happen to this team.

Save for the three goal third period against St. Louis, this team has been outscored 15 to 4 in its last four games. Something needs to change

So, four players showed up tonight. Iginla, Brodie, Stajan and MacDonald. Am I missing anyone? Maybe Wideman and Bouwmeester as honourable mentions.

Kipper in net is going to change absolutely nothing and that's scary

Pretty soon you won't need a new stadium to fit the demand, and the line ups to the can will be "ok" and "not too bad"

No way. Brent Sutter killed the value of players like Stajan, Hagman, Bouwmeester... I could go on.

Some of the best news this season is the play of Bouwmeester. He now has significant value if time comes to trade him.

I know you'll deny it and I know you'll call me an idiot or whatever, but I do want you to know that it definitely appears that you enjoy all of this. You're just relentless sometimes.
