Besides, STH and people who otherwise go to games regurarly will get used to it halfway through the first season, and the rest won't have an opinion due rarely going to games.

That's not true at all, particularly with luxury suites. Those seats aren't for watching hockey, they're for entertaining clients and the like, the view of the game is secondary to the prestige you can offer.
That's one reason why everyone's conclusion that the move to Brooklyn is a sure thing money maker based on luxury boxes is a bit of a stretch. Going to an Islanders game isn't prestigious, the same way that despite being a good team in a building built specifically for basketball, with ownership that includes celebrities, going to a Nets game isn't prestigious. People want to be seen at Rangers and Knicks games. People want to take clients to MSG. Clients want to go to MSG. The idea of going to a Knicks game is much more exciting than going to a Nets game. Now if the Isles get good it could become more desirable, but unless things change dramatically and for a long time they are always going to be secondary, and when it comes to those expensive luxury suites you have to ask how much companies are going to be willing to pay for something that is perceived to be secondary.
