I hope you are not putting words in my mouth by saying that I am claiming him as the savior? Kipper is simply better than anyone we can have in net currently, I personally do not expect it to make a difference, we are a bottom feeding team regardless of who is in net. Kipper however at least has the potential to steal a game or two.

I don't think it would have mattered who was in net. If you give the puck away and let the other team walk around in your own zone like that then you're going to fall behind pretty quick and it's really over before you even got started.

Really was expecting a good start and a win tonight.

How do they come out that flat when they are already behind the 8ball for a playoff spot.

Expect Dallas to be be full of pass and.vinegar.

Two questions:

1) does any player fall down more than Matt Stajan?

2) what role does Tim Jackman play on this team?

Wow, that's depressing. Even Dubnyk would be a big improvement in goal for this team right now.

Despite the goalie struggles I remain more concerned about the lack of battle and toughness. Too soft and too casual. I just do not see the will to win among this group.

Sure Flames fell behind 2-0 but

A) Their goalie is no better, that save on Brodie was just pure fluke.

B) The refs were terrible, Blues ran interference all night.

C) Blues don't have Comeau shooting.

I agree with all of this with one addition. Gio should be the next D given a spot in the box for a game or two. I know tonights plus minus says otherwise but He has been a liability the last two games.

Come to my shop on Wedensday and I'll give you back your Timmy's card. No one should pay for a performance like that.

At what point does ownership/management realize that it wasn't Jim Playfair's fault. It wasn't Mike Keenan's fault. It wasn't Dion Phaneuf's fault. It wasn't Brent Sutter's fault.

It isn't any one particular players fault. Not the offence, or the defence or the goaltending. But it needs to end.

There are some new/young enough faces on this team that look somewhat promising (Hudler Cervenka, Backlund, Horak, Brodie, Sven, no superstars..but pieces), but I'm concerned that the aroma of this team is going to rub off on these guys too.

The soul of this team is inherently flawed. Just start over. It's done. Move on.

Stajan falls down but the effort is there. Besides, who is going to play C and win draws?

Jackman - same can be said for Comeau, Jones and Begin. We have 4 AHL level players on our forward ranks, 4 too many. Not having a NHL fourth line is killing us.

Can't get too high or too low. As bad as it was, it was still just one game. Take your lumps and move on.

Dude you gotta realize that refs have bad games. No one said they were why we lost but they sucked. We lost because of Wideman, Comeau and crappy goaltending.

Jackman is there to be a pugulist or throw a big hit to change the game. When you are getting hammered early, that is your time.

Jackman is Absent, again.

There were people who really, truly believe that Allen wasn't much better than our two goalies tonight?

Bad goaltending, bad defense, another home loss.

On a positive note the Flames didn't give up until about the last two mins. Carried the play for the last 12 or so mins of the second and most of the third. Looked like the Glencross goal might spark a comeback but terrible timing on the Gio penalty. You could see the Flames players groaning on the bench.

I thought MacDonald looked okay considering he hasn't played much in a long time. He might be a decent backup when Kipper comes back.

Also I think the defensive rotation for the 5/6 pairing is not a bad idea but too bad we couldn't turn all four of these guys into two good players for the bottom pair. Haven't been impressed with any of them the last few games (not fair to Babchuk as he just returned obviously).
